Mitsuki Takahata gets sincere on her latest role in the live-action adaptation of Peko Watanabe’s manga series, 1122: For a Happy Marriage. She has been spending her days embodying different personalities for more than a decade. From voice acting, cinema, and even theatre, Takahata has done it all. Now, the actor is taking the lead of a beloved manga series.

Following the manga’s story, the show will tell the tale of married couple, Ichiko Aihara, played by Takahata, and Otoya Aihara, played by Masaki Okada. The couple have been married for seven 7 years; however, they remain childless and sexless. In an attempt to maintain their marriage, both have decided to allow extramarital affairs into their union. Although they mutually agreed and partially solved their issues, the arrangement continues to bring in new conflicts with each other and within themselves. (Text Vanya Harapan)
