Happy Ganesh Chaturthi 🤍
Growing up, Ganesh Chaturthi was a festival I eagerly awaited. Every year, I would visit the nearest Ganesha setup in my neighborhood – it was a given that nam area alli ganesha kuristivi. There was something magical about it, a sense of community and joy that always drew me in.
As a teenager, the festival took on a new meaning. I started performing in shows during Ganesh Chaturthi, and working on these festivals came with the added benefit of getting better pay. It became more than just a celebration—it was an experience, that helped me make ends meet
In later years, I joined friends and colleagues who celebrated the festival on a much larger scale. I loved being part of it, but deep down, I always harbored a dream of bringing Ganesha home, of decorating the idol myself, and making it a deeply personal celebration. However, religious differences in my household over idol worship kept that dream at bay.
But 2024 brought a beautiful change. In my own space now, I finally fulfilled the longing that had been sitting in my heart for years. For the first time, I brought Ganesha home, lovingly decorated the idol, and spent the entire day sitting with it, relishing every moment.
Today, the child in me feels an overwhelming sense of joy and peace. It’s a dream realized, a moment I’ve waited for so long.
