While unpacking I found this @loopymango Urban Cowboy Jacket that I knit several years ago. 🥰 I will be turning the air conditioner temp down so I can wear it until the weather cooperates. I don’t know if it’s the ribbon bow at my collar (courtesy of our wardrobe designer extraordinaire Shawn) or the mohawk braid (thanks @abrahamjosephr 🥰), but I LOVE this look. Someone told me it was giving “naughty librarian” vibes and I was down for that. It really does take a village to preform this transformation in a short amount of time, especially so early in the morning. I’m thankful for the makeup, hair and wardrobe departments at @generalhospitalabc for all of their hard work. You guys are the best. 💛 (swipe for a pic of how I roll into work before the sun is up)

I just moved and it’s become kinda clear that I love my new kitchen. I can’t stop making southern food for Harps. She’s digging it and the smells remind me of my childhood. 🥰 I’m getting pretty good at homemade chicken pot pie. This version was definitely the best so far. For dessert (which I only ever make when I have Harper, because..well, she’s 10) I made baked peaches with pecan ice cream and homemade whipped cream ( <— don’t sleep on this guys. It’s incredible and also really good on coffee in the morning. Stores well in a container too). Pink waffles for Harper were a breakfast hit and surprisingly so was the red beans and rice I made 🙌🏼 (of course served with cornbread). Thankful to have been blessed with a child who’s willing to try new foods. 🙏🏼💗

I taught Chelsey how to crochet a few weeks ago and she’s already made a freaking sweater. 😳 I’ve actually created a monster – and I have no regrets. I heard her telling someone to “get off my yarn!” the other day and I swear I felt emotional. One of those “funny story, but not funny when I need coffee” moments… I’ve opened several canisters of @illy_coffee tins and never have the grounds exploded out of that cute metal container. ::sigh:: There is a first time for everything. 🤷🏼♀️ I can say with certainty that I prefer my coffee brewed in hot water (or over ice)…straight from the container doesn’t taste that good. 😁 (*In their defense, there is a warning on the lid. It’s written in several languages.*)
That’s a wrap on my time in Port Charles for today. 🙌🏻 Now it’s time to hunt for some YouTube lessons on today’s 5th grade math. I checked out Harper’s homework for today and I think they’re trying to decipher the coordinates for the fountain of youth. I mean, would you need to apply “estimating long division” (2 examples for each problem, of course) for coordinates?….or anything at all? #myphonehasacalculator #everyonesphonehasacalculator 😕. PS. For those that have been asking, of the jackets I’ve been wearing on the show lately are by @cinqasept (including this one).
Paso Robles trip with these lovely ladies. 💖 @ninerwineestates was beautiful! I would recommend their Savignon Blanc and a stroll through the “Chef’s garden”. (Hey Niners…Are you guys growing collard greens? I know next to nothing about gardening, but I know what greens look like and I think I saw them. 😋 Plz message me when you are adding a dish to your menu that includes those…) And @kwalkerdev, THANK YOU for letting your daughter bring her friends up to your amazing (*understatement*) home. We are behaving and cleaning up after ourselves. ❤️ you.
