Nambi Narayanan Ji SPECIAL HANDLOOMS FROM ANDHRA PRADESH REACHED THE LEGEND 🇮🇳🙏🧘♂️🤍 I’m still pinching myself! On this year’s Handlooms Day, I had the surreal experience of meeting the legendary Padma Bhushan ISRO Scientist Nambi Narayanan ji. I was nervous yet excited, and we spoke for a continuous hour! As children, we learned about good triumphing over evil from mythological epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. But experiencing this in real life, as I did with Nambi Narayanan ji’s story, is truly transformative. It reinforces our values and principles, giving us hope for a better future. Meeting this living legend validated the stand I took during tough times, when we fought against numerous unknown evils and enemies while staying true to our beliefs. I feel validated knowing that our perseverance was worth it. I have more to share about my experience with Nambi Narayanan ji, and I look forward to posting about it soon. Maa Shailaputri is the first manifestation of Goddess Durga and is worshiped on the first day of Navaratri. Sometimes we end up in places we always wanted to without any plan , while on a imp meeting with some one who treasures our craft of hundred years and more – me and a young brother kinda of mine lost our route and ended in some remote area , when we further went down we saw a lot of cows and buffaloes which are prayed too with huge horns , then further down the lane we saw a very silver lined snake pass our car , when we travelled further we saw a lot of people gathered in at were praying to some who had expired , on asking further , we got to know it was the pujari at the temple who has been serving for years who passed away – we offered our prayers while keeping far away from the crowd – I told my brother – pehle Singh ( horns ) mile , phir saanp ( snake ) mila Aur uske baad shav ( dead body ) – I was like ye kaunsa mandir hai Mujhe jaana hai – hum log waise hi raasta Bhatak gaye hain – in absolute silence , after many years , there was no one in this huge temple , we walked up and inside the gufa ( cave ) – no preist and no person , I asked young brother with me , who is well versed in chants , just said them loudly for 20 minutes and then I was told it’s maa shailaputri – first roop of durga for Navratri – while on the way back after this surreal experience – all that I saw was this little girl without footwear – coming up near the temple walking up at the steps near a shop smiling at me and said Mujhe book lagi hai – took something – smiled at us and ran away 🫶. I couldn’t reach place of work due to forgetting the path but I reached at a temple which I always wanted to without a plan 🫶 Such are are energies , Pehle Singh ( horns ) mile , phir saanp ( silver snake ) Aur shav ( dead body of priest ) – phir maa shailaputri ke darshan 🫶🧘🪔 Jai mata di ❤️

MAY SATYANARYANA’S DREAM COME TRUE 🙏🇮🇳🫡 “Weaving the stories of two patriots was the best part of handlooms promotion this year. I knew I wanted to do this when I saw Prime Minister Modi ji’s post where he spoke about the #HarGharTiranga campaign inspired by #PingaliVenkiah garu from #AndhraPradesh. My weaver, Satyanarayana, who spent four years perfecting a seamless flag with an Ashok Chakra through trial and error, is a rarity. He faced hurdles to the extent that he had to give up his own house. I always wanted to share this story with personalities who have served India unconditionally. The story of Nambi Narayanan ji is known to everyone – his struggles, principles, patriotism, positivity, and faith. I wanted to pay a heartfelt ode to him. What could be better than giving him a seamless flag woven by our own weaver, Satyanarayana, who takes inspiration from Pingali Venkiah garu, famously known as National Flag Satyanarayana? His flag was submitted to our President, Draupadi Murmu ji, last year. All I can wish for is for our patriot weavers’ dreams to come true, giving me and the weavers’ community a sense of hope and encouragement to continue the craft that played a role in India’s Freedom movement.
