Alhamdulillah our goal to surprise @ruzanaibrahim was a success! 🤍 It was a beautiful & meaningful night surrounded by lots of tears, laughters, joy, love & light. 🥲 Not to mention good food & us entertaining each other! 😂 After all that Ruzana went through, what she has done for all of us, for always being there at our lowest moments & the highs at different stages of our lives, she deserves all the love surrounding her & so much more. 🤍 . Fun fact: This year marks 33 years that I’ve known Ruzana. We were classmates in Standard 1 at CBN & then we got closer in highschool during school activities & after school activities 😅 Most importantly, what I’m grateful for & remember the most is that Ruzana is the person who invited me for my first umrah trip in 2012 & it was when I thought I was doing well but I was feeling empty inside especially spiritually. That trip changed my life in so many ways so I’m forever grateful that Allah blessed me with this sisterhood. Alhamdulillah. . Shared the video snippets during the surprise edited by @lisasurihani at the end 🥲 . One day @fadhilhui while he was still offshore told me he wanted to surprise her & host a gathering for her with her closest friends. He just told us to pick anywhere we want. . We started a group & from there everyone contributed in different ways from suggesting the place, checking it out mana yang can fit 17 pax, making polls, voting, booking, discussing what cake to get, buying them, to making sure we can be on time coz we plan on early dinner & just so happened the surau tgh renovate. Luckily the room besar so can pray in it Alhamdulillah. Then there was an idea to make a cheese platter in the form of a cake and @ilisulaiman specially made it & its so beautiful & yummy. It was so fun to plan with all of them. . Thanks so much Fadhil for initiating & planning this with us bukan birthday girl je happy we all pun very happy to a part of it. . These past few months have been a challenge kan? Honestly, I found myself being occupied with personal family stuff which was a blessing in disguise. If I was stuck on set day and night sampai ke tengah pagi buta pada ketika itu, tidak mungkin masa yang begitu berharga dapat saya kecapi dan dakapi. So Alhamdulillah for the priceless most precious time that was given to me. Done alot of reflecting in the midst of all the chaos, but haven’t found the time to really focus on me..tapi takpe, kita kena pikir ttg keluarga, orang yang tersayang, dan benda benda lain di keliling kita yg memerlukan prioriti dahulu kan? So fast forward, currently with the rate at how things are going and with the ample time that we all have and have been having, what other choice do we have but to adapt and keep ourselves going? I try keeping myself busy at home, attending to chores, constantly trying to motivate myself to stick to my life principles. To inspire and be inspired at the same time. Focusing on the little big important things that matter. Masih juga tgh mencari inspirasi dan masa sesuai utk focus balik on my side business. We try. I try. Keep trying. Work is on hold. Shoot is on hold. Stage projects, theater projects on hold. For those who are on the same boat.. You know that work from home for us, goes so far. Kan? But hey, all hope is not lost right? Team was professional and I’m Blessed to have met and worked with such passionate, warm and lovely personas (film makers/ professors/ researchers involved directly and indirectly in this rather personal project if theirs.
