I’ve been craving to celebrate the way they do back home. After the kids finished visiting for Halloween trick or treating I got the family together and we created our first kolam/rangoli. It was so wholesome to have everyone sitting in the front porch just vibing, as we curated our first design. Thambi was chilling on a chair supervising and I swear his positive vibes really set the tone. I found doing a Kolam sooooo therapeutic. I get why they do it every morning back in India/Sri Lanka what a great way to start the day! For a first go it did take us 3 hours 😂 but we are really proud of the design. Lemme know if you guys wanna see 🤭. I Googled what was the purpose of doing a rangoli and it said it’s to welcome Sridevi (Lakshmi) and sends away Mudevi so you can imagine the field day of jokes my parents had on my sister and I 😂
