Another paragraph? Here goes! May is Mental Health Awareness month and all I can say is thank goodness for therapy and Lexapro and any of the other much smaller things that have gotten me through the past few years. My dog Bear, a good book, a bowl of soup, a conversation with a stranger, a moment outside, all somehow have helped me get through depression and anxiety on a daily basis. These are some photos of moments I wasn’t sure I was going to feel true happiness again, I felt like a shell of a human being and I was terrified of what the future would be like. little by little I’ve started to get that feeling of happiness back on my own terms. Anyways this is a long way of saying if you’re dealing with something I understand and there’s lots of people right there with you. I love you and you’ve got this. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

My great granny passed this morning after living a truly long and fulfilling life. I truly thought of her as one of my best friends, sharing a beer together in the afternoon multiple times a week. I only met her for the first time 12 years ago and I’m so thankful for the incredible 12 years that I got to know her and love her. Her brain and personality was sharp as hell till the very end even upset she was missing the presidential debate while in the hospital without her glasses. She was always supportive and loving to anyone and everyone with an open mind and a love for great cardigans and cooking magazines that she read every day with a magnify glass. This is all to say I love her very much and I’ve been lucky enough to not experience very much death or grief around me so this is a tough situation all around. Then last photo is 4 generations of women in our family 🫶🏻
