I can’t believe we actually did this! We’ve been thinking about it since so long and then last week Rohan said, let’s do it and within a few days we got rid of everything, filled our Thar with whatever we could fit and left our Pune home to be nomads. All the stuff in the house, the clothes, the expensive things and maintaining it all was somewhere giving me stress and now I feel so free! We’ll only keep whatever we really need and can spend all that money will be saving on traveling and experiencing new things now ❤️ I lived in that house for 7 years and it was so difficult to leave it but Cheers to the new beginning. I wanted for months to post this on Christmas 🙈 We visited Alaska this year and it was incredible! We got to see the northern lights, met the original Alaskan Malamutes, drove in Alaskan Wilderness, went to a hot spring and got to see this cute little town called NORTH POLE. The candy cane street lights are my favorite! The town is so cute. We also drove around to see all the Christmassy houses where people live. Well no, she’s driving! 🙂 Let me tell you a fun story! I was so excited to go for my first drag race in my own car to this event I was invited to. It was a dream to do that. When I went to the registration counter to get myself registered as a driver, the guys at the counter kept telling me to go stand in the other counter where the visitors had to get the pass. I told them thrice that I am driving and without thinking they kept pushing me to the other counter until one of the guys realized that i am actually here to compete and drive instead of shooting a video. When I went to the Dubai track, people kept asking Rohan what he’s driving instead of me. They stopped when he said “I am sorry, but she’s always the driver”. SAVE THIS! I am sure you didn’t know all these things about Japan. Some of the things I only realised when I was there. So make sure to keep these in mind before visiting. Don’t talk in the trains. Even a full train is insanely quiet. In inter city trains, you have a dedicated space to go and take a call. In inter city trains, you can’t even eat inside. Also, don’t eat while walking. Sit and finish your meal. You won’t even find dustbins anywhere in the country. So carry a bag to keep your trash. You gotta keep your passport with you at all times. You might get heavily fined if someone asks and you don’t have it. Anyway, for tax free shopping you do need it.
