You’ll mostly see all the people dressed up in full clothes but nobody would bother you if you don’t do the same.
Don’t talk in the trains. Even a full train is insanely quiet. In inter city trains, you have a dedicated space to go and take a call. In inter city trains, you can’t even eat inside.
Also, don’t eat while walking. Sit and finish your meal. You won’t even find dustbins anywhere in the country. So carry a bag to keep your trash.
You gotta keep your passport with you at all times. You might get heavily fined if someone asks and you don’t have it. Anyway, for tax free shopping you do need it.
There are certain public hot springs that might have an issue with the tattoos which are still considered a taboo in certain parts of the country.
