It’s been 1 year since we found this puppy by the side of a road in the Bahamas. After being hit by a car, he had 2 broken legs, and with no vet on the island or way to get him help, the kind woman who had been taking care of him gave us her blessing to bring him home with us. Duke (we found him on Duke street) is now healthy, handsome, and happy to be a permanent member of our never ending pack. As I was pregnant at the time and there celebrating our babymoon, Duke will always have a special place in my heart as the first animal that Sebastian helped save, and hopefully will one day inspire him to save many more. 💛🐾

Watching him compete at the @panationalhs this fall was one of the proudest moments I have ever felt as a mother. Not just because of the long history and many incredible memories that show provided me growing up, but also because I know the dedication and hard work it takes to get there, and the courage a kid must have to ride into that arena. Looking back on the fall, that weekend stands out to me as one that made me realize how lucky I am to have this boy in my life, and to get to go through this crazy world with him by my side.
