I remember… as we all do. 😢 I remember thinking I must have fallen asleep with the TV on and some crazy distopian movie is playing. I know people who ran out of that dust cloud and walked for miles to get home or to some place that felt safe. I remember thinking, was that a feeling we’d ever feel again? I knew someone who didn’t make it out of the rubble that day. I remember my chest being tight until I heard from everyone I love and know who lives and works in NYC. It takes me some time to process loss. Especially the loss of someone whose life and work has impacted me perhaps even more profoundly than I realize. I met him once, quite briefly.
