It’s funny how over time so much changes, yet a few foundational things remain unchanged- like my love and appreciation for training, the lift life. I’ve tried many times since my early 20’s to articulate how grounding & centering training is for me. An essential part of my daily routine. Like brushing your teeth. More so than ever during challenging times (which still continue to this day 🥹😂). It’s taught me to ‘control what I can control’ – to be responsible for myself, to stay accountable. Even when people don’t show up, or things don’t go according to plan – to show up for myself and stay the course. I’m so thankful for it. I hope more people find the thing that makes them feel this way too. And for those on a similar path, you’re not alone. PS : the irony of the lyrics amused me no end. Great beats 😅 it is what it is.

📚✨B O O K S ✨ 🔹BUTTER by Asako Yuzuki I struggled to read too much of this book in a go, the pages too dense? Ingredients heady. Sensations saturated. Felt like I gained weight just from reading about the food descriptions 😬 Low key wished I knew Japanese so I could read it as it was meant to be read. After a few weeks I can say, yes, interesting for sure 😂 🔹 Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors Looked forward to reading this book for so long since I fell in love with Coco’s first book Cleopatra & Frankenstein. This was good. Different from Cleo&Frank. A love story but about family and the currents that push us apart yet keep us connected no matter what. 🔹Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston After the headiness of the previous 2 books I need a palette cleanser book and unfortunately this was too bland for my liking 🙁 I got this since I loved Ashley’s previous book ‘The Dead Romantics’. 🔹The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden I then proceeded to try to break my reading slump by picking up this book and I did finish it off so quick 😂 but that doesn’t mean it was particularly good 😂😬🫠 🔹 Unravelling Oliver by Liz Nugent I couldn’t decide which Liz Nugent book to read next since I loved ‘Strange Sally Diamond’ so much and didn’t want to be disappointed 🫠😬 and I am so happy to report that Liz Nugent did *not* disappoint!! After my -all -over -the- place -reading and multiple DNFs (did not finish – 4 books, none listed here) I felt ready for a ‘book of substance’ lol, and this brings me to my Current read : 🔹 Intermezzo by Sally Rooney!! I’m on page 151 and ITS SO GOOD! Read any of these? Lmk which one and what are y’all reading currently?!
