When I was little I wanted to be a superstar, as I got older I just wanted to be a working actress. It may look like it has been easy, but there have been so many highs and lows. No matter your level it never ends. Creating this show with my friends is a career high! I am so proud of us! We did everything! From Marissa painting the vanities… to us all going to marketing meetings… and watching videos to check out blocking… creating social media… I have a new respect for producers! It is NON STOP! It feels so good knowing we are spreading joy. People laugh and cry at our show. We only have two more shows this Saturday. Working with James Earl Jones was a highlight of my life. He was such a professional. I remember going to see him in his dressing room months into our run, and his script was out on his desk- he was still working on it! Constantly trying to improve and find the truth. Our scenes were never the same! Obviously I was completely in awe and intimidated to be working with such a legend, but he was so kind, down to earth and funny!! He was up for anything. He even dressed up as the Easter Bunny when I threw one of my famous backstage easter egg hunts. In bunny ears and a little tail he shouted with his deep voice ‘Let the hunt begin!’ I wish I had that picture, I couldn’t find it! Thank you James Earl Jones for sharing your incredible light with all of us. Love to his family and friends. Rest in peace.
