We are thrilled to welcome entrepreneur and model Rola to our exciting new project! Across Japan, the aging population of farmers and the younger generation’s move away from agriculture have become pressing issues, leading to an increase in abandoned farmland with various impacts. In particular, the Tashiro area of Kinko Town in Kagoshima Prefecture once cultivated 119 hectares of tea fields until 2014. However, with the decline in tea consumption and tea leaf prices, abandoned farmland has been on the rise. As a result, tea fields that should have been pruned are now left with a large amount of unused tea seeds.
In response, kiiks has teamed up with Rola to develop a special hair oil using these tea seeds. This eco-friendly oil combines tea seed oil with camellia oil from Sakurajima, and is blended with sandalwood and jasmine essential oils to create a soothing aroma.
