Well, here we are. After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce. This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us. We are proud of how we have worked through this together. Yes, we’re sad, and we’ve got some figuring out to do as we continue to move forward into our new normal—together still in many ways, and apart in some new ones. But here’s the thing: we’ve been best friends for so many years. We are still celebrating holidays together, watching our favorite tv shows together, and gathering as a family. So, the big question—why? To put it simply, we both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that didn’t fit us anymore. After a lot of effort and consideration, we’ve decided to take this step, which reflects who we are today. Our bond is still strong—it’s just evolved into something different. We think a marriage that lasted this long and created so many beautiful memories, especially raising our incredible daughter, is something to celebrate. From our perspective, this marriage was a huge success. And now, we’re looking forward to creating even more cherished moments—just in a different way. We want to be as transparent as we can be here because, for years, we shared our marriage so publicly, whether it was on our specials on VH1 or our reality show, which ran for two seasons on TLC. We are sharing this unknown territory with you all as we take our first steps into this next stage of our lives publicly. We would love for everyone to have more access to different kinds of relationship stories and not feel so isolated in navigating the changes that millions of couples make every year. We hope our journey can inspire others to see that relationships—whether they change or end—aren’t failures. We’ll keep sharing snippets of our lives as we navigate this new chapter. Love, Leah & Angelo
Spreading a little holiday cheer in Florida with my @rindermike and his beautiful family. I am so moved by the outpouring of love and care shown to Mike and his family. @claireh101 came with her family to visit the Rinders for Thanksgiving and stayed to help. Claire is shopping, cooking soup for Mikey, cleaning, baking, and running to the store 23 times a day. Amy Scobee and Mat Pesch are blessings. Amy is doing laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and baking… and Mat is wrangling the kids, taking them to their sports events, and doing everything and anything. My friend Corina dropped everything, canceling the work she had in LA to travel with me—not even hesitating for a moment to get to Mike with me. Corina, there is just no one like you. To my friend @yasharali , thank you for getting me and Corina to Florida on such short notice. You pulled favors, took care of everything, got us here, got us to and from Mike’s to the hotel, and so much more. None of this could have happened without you. I can’t thank you enough, and Mike and Christie can’t thank you enough—you brought tears to their eyes! @juliechenmoonves, @kevinjamesofficial, @chelseahandler—your calls and prayers made Mike smile from ear to ear Thank you to the Aftermath crew for sending Mikey your funny messages. @devonpgraham, thank you for the food and care. Mom, Angelo, Sofia, Shannon, Nicole, Willy, Bri… thank you for loving on Mikey Thank you to @mrlitservices for taking on the task of putting up Christmas lights on the Rinder home with less than 24 hours’ notice. Your company was booked, you had customers on your schedule already, and you didn’t hesitate. @christie.june is an angel. While managing her household, two boys, and doting over her husband, she shows a strength and grace that is a wonder to behold. Shane and Jack, you have been so wonderful and strong for your dad/stepdad. I know this hasn’t been easy, and we are all so proud of you As many of you know, Mike has been courageously battling cancer, and your messages of love truly lift his spirits. Please keep Mike, Christie, and their two boys in your prayers. Surround them with all the love and strength they so deserve.

Happy Mother’s Day to our Mom, who always keeps us on our toes and taught us to love with passion, lol! Becoming a mother almost 20 years ago was the greatest gift I’ve ever received. Thank you for making me a mommy, Sofia…I love you. Madly. And to those of you who are separated from your Mom today for any reason — including “religion” — I am thinking of you and hope she sees that life without you is empty and that to be a mom is one of the greatest gifts. And for those whose moms are no longer with us, I always say, look for the signs…she is always there.
Leah Remini Instagram – A very happy birthday to my family by choice and my forever favorite co-star @kevinjamesofficial!

I was a Scientologist for 35 years and have been fighting to expose their abuses for over ten years, and I am still shocked by the horrific things Scientology and David Miscavige do! Scenes from the Aftermath with my friends who are like family @rindermike @christie.june
Leah Remini Instagram – I was hungry…
Nope. Not gonna happen.
Somethings never change. Still spending most Sundays watching my Cowboys with @leahremini #exesbelike
Recently, I lost a friend, TJ (Anthony) Paradise. TJ was a kind man who loved his family, husband, and friends immensely. He was loved just as much by his loved ones. It’s easy to take the people with us now for granted. We assume they will live the rest of their lives with us, but tomorrow is not promised to any of us. We can also let our everyday squabbles get in the way of letting people know we love them. I am regretfully guilty of this. The first two photos of TJ, his husband @bobbynewberry, and me and the last photo were taken over a decade apart. TJ will missed by so many people…I am one of them.
