When actor and writer Suhasini Maniratnam @suhasinihasan pulled me from the finale arrangement of the MARVELLOUS MARGAZHI event, I had no idea she had heard about my love for western pop music.
I had a small music group in college and we would sing the then favourite melodies.
When she asked me for a demo, I reached for my fave dance tune SWAY- what Dean Martin made famous and countless bands and soloists have remixed.
The famous Tamil movie composer MS Viswanathan was inspired by this tune to compose another iconic song
PARTHA NYABAGAM ILLAYO
His daughter Latha was seated in the first row and helped complete the chorus
