Andi Eigenmann Instagram – I had been sick, and life called for some hearty, home- cooked meals this past week. These cravings were brought by nostalgic memories that I have been longing for lately.
– boy, would my nanay be so stoked to hear about these papayas growing from our very own yard. Yapapas as she would call them, insisting its how I used to call the fruit as a young child.
– one of my successful first try dishes are these Turkish Eggs, a much simpler version of Nigella Lawson’s. Based off of the good old days staying in bed with my nanay on those lazy Sundays while watching Nigella Bites.
Whould’ve thought that food could be a tool in ‘handling’ grief. It’s brings me comfort on days that I am missing them a lot. I am glad my angels all loved food so much too.
