Clea Shearer Instagram – @cleashearer, cofounder of the organization brand @thehomeedit, was trick-or-treating with her family in Nashville when she spotted a For Sale sign on a shady lot. “I freaked out,” she recalls of seeing the parcel dotted with 13 massive monarch oak trees. While they’d only lived in their current home for a few years, Shearer saw the lot as her chance to build her dream house in the city’s Belle Meade neighborhood. Shearer worked with @cw_design_arc on the architecture, meeting the exacting standards of the historic area’s zoning committee and achieving a French château–style exterior with smooth white stucco. For the interiors, Shearer turned to designer Lindsay Rhodes (@lindsayrhodesinteriors), with whom she shares many clients. “Lindsay has such range, and I really trusted her with my vision,” Shearer says.
