My Mom and Dad met on the beach one day along PCH. Its where you would go if you grew up in Los Angeles. Santa Monica , Topanga and Malibu were everything to me growing up. Ive been thinking about parents alot these lat few days., how horrified they would be to see whats going on. ….well- my Dad woud have been 95 today! So heres to a Heavenly Happy Birthday to my one and only Favorite Dad. Hope he and my Mom are still having fun wherever they may be floating. Im so blown away and proud of my friend the incredible Tracey Emin. I was lucky enough to see her first show and I was going through a bad break up and really connected deeply to her work. She felt like a kindred spirit. I bought a piece just because I had to have it ( even though I could barely afford my dinners and rent at the time-) As the years have gone by , Tracey has grown and developed and become of of the most inspired and amazing Artists I know. Her personnal journey which has been quite challenging at times health wise- has only fueled her work- its so honest and brave and authentic and powerful. Its been a rough few weeks for sure . Friends dying, friends and family being displaced , loosing their homes to the LA fire, the state of the World in general- I try to stay positive , but the other day I just crumbled. I had to pause for a moment and I decided to watch this animated movie I had heard about , but didn’t know what I was in for. FLOW is wonderful. It truely speaks to whats going on today fears , Survival, love , trust , friendship and Community. It is so beautifully done it made me weep. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you to Gints Zilbalodis @gzilbalodis for creating this. I loved it so much and it really warmed my heart when I really needed it. Thank you. ❤️✨#flow
