Kathy Kelly Instagram – Treasure from family Christmas archive!
A few days ago I discovered these pictures from my private family archive. Looking at them they brought so many old and emotional memories up..🥹
One can see from the tree that we did not have much.. and yet we three little women try our best with the little means we had to prepare for the “small ones” the Christmas presents and decorate the tree on the night before while “the small ones” are asleep.
We tried to fill that void that Mother left when she died in any possible way.
We tried our best to nurture and spread love so they may not miss anything.
I believe this was in Holland in a Ferienwohnung shortly before we bought our boat “Sean O’ Kelly“. The gifts we bought in the flea market (we could not afford anything new) we wrapped them in any paper we could find (including toilet paper at times) and put the presents under the Christmas tree.
Kathy was and still is my hero and role model!!
Barby..I can’t express what I feel.. it just breaks my heart to see her in this photo.
I am proud of my sisters and of myself. We did our best in very, very difficult circumstances and came out of it strong.
I am so grateful to have lived such a rich life full of Love, and experiences in so many different ways.
I am forever thankful to you Kathy my dear sis.. you stuck by me then and you stand by me today no matter what. I love you more then words can express!
Our love is unbreakable!
