OUR ENGAGEMENT STORY & our week of ✨BLISS✨ sharing it with out closest people 💖☁️💫🥰 I don’t even know where to start but @brookslaich actually proposed in Iceland & he COMPLETELY surprised me! We had decided to do christmas & new years at home in Coeur D’Alene this year so I decided to squeeeeeze in a trip back home to Iceland to see my family, best friends, the christmas lights, have hot chocolate & whipped cream ❤️🎄🥹✨ ya know just all my christmas favorites!!! I ALSO decided to make a quick trip to London for the weekend to see my family there (little did I know I was planning my own engagement right there when I decided to book that trip🤣) I was suppose to land in Iceland at midnight on that sunday but after some delays I wasn’t leaving the airport until 1am & I was so tired. I called Brooks literally just to chat to stay awake because the drive is an hour (the whole time we were chatting I am thinking he is in states!!!!!) and as I get into parking garage I tell him I love him & say good night. But when I opened our apartment door there he was, standing in the middle of our living room, surrounded by roses & candles & flower pedals & I just FROZE 😭✨ I was so shocked & so happy & literally my dream is coming true all at same time so I actually just froze and said nothing and didn’t even move for probably a good 30 seconds 🤣 But it was the most beautiful moment at 2am ❤️ After he proposed we just wanted to sit in the moment for longer, so I made us hot chocolate & whipped cream & we sat down on the couch together. I asked him to tell me EVERYTHING from the planning to the ring & we chatted until about 5am that morning!! It was the most thoughtful proposal & perfectly us ❤️🌹 He did it in Iceland to honor that that too is our home (🥹), to also make memories there & so that we could share the news in person with our family & best friends there. And that week at home after was just that: THE MOST SPECIAL 💫☁️💖 I have just been up there swirling on a pink cloud and not sure I will ever come back down to earth actually 💍🤭 the happiest I have ever been & so excited to start this next chapter of life with my future HUSBAND!!!!! @brookslaich

WHAT a special conversation with my friend and @crossfitgames LEGEND @katrintanja on the #PursuingHealth podcast out today. 🙌🏻🙏🏻✨ Despite not having spent a ton of time together over the years this conversation felt SO fun & just like two best friends catching up … but that’s just who Katrín is – she’s a ray of sunshine to everyone she meets. ☀️ We dove deep on her decision to retire from competing, how she has grown as a person over the past 13 years, and what’s next (!) for Katrín. Ending one chapter and beginning another is always bittersweet … reflecting on Katrín’s 13-year career competing in @crossfit what comes to mind for me is her resilience, her ability to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, her infectious joyful & feminine energy, & her deep care for and investment in her relationships. While I know she will be missed by her peers on the competition floor and all of us in the stands, I couldn’t be more excited to watch Katrín embrace this next chapter of life, and bring all the lessons learned from her years competing to everything else she pursues. Katrin, you are a true legend in every sense of the word – not just for your champion titles and podium finishes, but because of how you carry yourself, how you treat those around you, and how you share your humanness & vulnerability through challenge with us all so we can learn and grow right alongside you.
