Some people don’t vote simply because they don’t have a voter ID.
But in reality, you don’t need a voter ID to vote! You just need one valid government ID like Aadhar, PAN, or a driving licence, and you can vote at the poll booth.
11 valid government documents you can use:
1. Aadhaar card/Pan card
2. MGNREGA job card
3. Bank or post office passbooks with photographs
4. A health insurance smart card issued under the scheme of the Ministry of Labour
5. Driving licence
6. Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR
7. Passport
8. Pension documents with photographs
9. Service ID cards (with photographs) issued by central or state governments, public sector undertakings, or public limited companies
10. Official identity cards issued to MPs, MLAs, and MLCs
11. Unique disability ID
But make sure to check on the election commission’s website whether you’re registered or not by entering your name or phone number.
