Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas, everyone. 🕎🎄Join us, @gwynethpaltrow and @noatishby, in lighting candles for the first night of Hanukkah. Tune in every day at 11am ET throughout all 8 nights of Hanukkah to see who else joins. #BringOnTheLight 🕎 An Eighteen production, directed by @YoavDavis edited by Ram Shemi.
It’s the eighth and final night of Hanukkah, and we’re joined by @gal_gadot and @noatishby to close out this celebration of light. 🕎✨ Gal reminds us, “A candle is a small thing. But one candle can light another. And I think that there is something very symbolic about its meaning.” That’s what we’re doing tonight—sharing light, spreading hope, and celebrating the beauty of this holiday together. #BringOnTheLight And while Hanukkah is over, it is incomplete. 100 hostages are still held by Hamas in Gaza. We have to #BringThemHome Now. An Eighteen production, directed by @YoavDavis edited by Ram Shemi.
It was just confirmed that Hamas murdered 6 Israeli and American hostages. They were reportedly executed at short range very recently and their bodies recovered from a terror tunnel in Rafah. Among the murdered were Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alex Lobanov, and Ori Danino. For almost a year, Hamas, after barbarically attacking Israel kidnapping children from their beds and party goers from a festival, has held more than 100 hostages in terror tunnels underneath Gaza. At the same time, brainwashed Americans are promoting Hamas’s agenda and calling for a ceasefire. But Hamas is not interested in a ceasefire. Hamas continues to reject ceasefire proposals while torturing and executing innocent people. This needs to end. The pressure must be on Hamas to surrender and release all the hostages. Bring them home NOW. And may Carmel, Eden, Almog, Alex, Ori, and Hersh. Rest in Peace 🕯️💔 #AllEyesOnRafah
Hundreds of Hollywood celebrities signed a petition calling on the U.S. to stop providing Israel with weapons. A lot of us felt uneasy about that petition. Intuitively, we all understand that military advice or analysis should probably not come from Hollywood actors. Just because someone played a five-star general in a movie doesn’t make them an expert on war. So yes, this petition is not only misguided—it’s dangerous. Let me explain why. I’m not a military expert either, but I listen to those who are. Recently, a group of high-level military experts visited Israel to assess its military operations. They concluded that Israel is fighting a just war against Hamas in full compliance with international law. They observed that Israel is taking extraordinary precautions to minimize civilian harm—even building roads to deliver aid during the conflict. No other military in history has made such an effort. Furthermore, when Australia investigated the tragic incident in which World Central Kitchen workers were accidentally killed, they found that Israel conducts thorough and transparent investigations when such mistakes occur. In recent days, White House National Security Communications Advisor and retired Navy admiral John Kirby said, “The biggest obstacle to peace right now is Hamas,” the same group that executed six hostages just this past weekend. The U.S. provides weapons to Israel because Israel is fighting a multi-front war against Iran’s jihadi proxy armies—Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and more. Among these weapons is the Iron Dome, a purely defensive technology that intercepts rockets in mid-air, saving countless lives. Yet, this is what these celebrities are trying to stop. War is horrific. But what these Hollywood celebrities are really promoting, whether they realize it or not, is Hamas’s dream of a defenseless Israel. If these celebrities truly want to see an end to the devastation in Gaza, they need to put the pressure where it belongs—on Hamas, the group responsible for starting this war and destabilizing the entire region. We are living through history, yet again. The LA fires are generational. Historical. Devastating. We are now evacuated to safety and praying for an end to this disaster. I am speechless and following the news, like everyone else. Stay safe everyone. Sending so much love. #PrayForLA
Israel just rescued another hostage, Qaid Farhan al-Qadi, from a Hamas terror tunnel in Gaza after 326 days in captivity. Qaid is an Arab Muslim Israeli citizen and a member of Israel’s Bedouin community. Hamas did not discriminate in their attack. They kidnapped, raped, and killed Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus. They kidnapped people from 23 different countries, ranging in age from less than one year old to 86 years old. And still Israel is falsely called an apartheid state. But the reality is that Arabs, Jews, Bedouins, Druze, Christians, and all the other diverse identities in Israel are equal. They’re all Israeli. On October 7th, they all suffered together and today, as Qaid is reunited with his family, the whole country is celebrating together. And still, it is important to remember that more than 100 hostages remain in Gaza. It’s time for Hamas to surrender and release the remaining hostages. Bring Them All Home.
Israel update.
This Hanukkah, I had the pleasure of lighting candles with some truly incredible people. 🕎✨ @gwynethpaltrow, Mila Kunis, @missmayim, @ilizas, @vanjones68, @cindycrawford, @tiffanyhaddish, and @gal_gadot shared their stories, their traditions, and their light—not just with me, but with the world. The #BringOnTheLight campaign was all about connection, joy, and pride. It was about showing up, celebrating together, and learning from one another. Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout all eight nights to make this campaign so special. I hope you learned something new—I know I did thanks to @missmayim and @aplusk. Let’s keep shining those lights… and get ready for next year’s guests. 😉 Happy Hanukkah and Shabbat Shalom! 🕎 #BringOnTheLight An Eighteen production, directed by @YoavDavis edited by @assaf_drori
Apartheid. Occupation. Human rights abuse. These terms are often used against Israel, but are they true? Join @naftalibennett and @noatishby in understanding these buzzwords and who the real perpetrator of these violations is in the Middle East.
A few weeks ago while in Israel I got a call from my Vavi @mottyreif He was in tears. Motty has been working with one of the best fashion schools in the world @shenkar_college for over two decades. Every year he directs the graduates fashion show, which is one of the most exciting events in Israeli fashion. “I have never seen anything like this”, his voice was shaking. “I have been working with the graduates for decades and I have never seen so much pain in fashion design”. He told me the new graduates have inserted October 7 into their designs in the most powerful, painful, expressive and authentic ways. I immediately asked to come and film these talented graduates. And I am sharing this post with you today because it’s my Vavi’s birthday and how moved he was by the students is the perfect example of who this man is.. he feels. He feels hard. Motty has been by my side since I was nineteen years old. Young and talented, confused and anxious he saw through me and he saw me way better than I saw myself. Motty (or as we call each other – Vavi) told me from the minute we met that I will not find myself until later in life. “You’re only going to start your journey at 40” he said. And he was right. So instead of just sharing a birthday post, I wanted to share with all of you this post – a part of Motty’s life work. Finding young talent, seeing them for who they are, encouraging and empowering them. Making them believe in themselves and thrive. There are so many people that owe him so much I am the first in line. Happy birthday my Vavi. So lucky to have you and now @simorlouzon in my life. I wish for us many decades many lifetimes together. I love you… Wearing Israeli fashion by @motherofall_official (owner and head designer is also a Shenkar graduate!) and @nililotan belt 💙 Continued in comments
🚨 Israel is under attack! Rocket sirens are ringing across central Israel near Tel Aviv. Each one of those dots is warning Israeli citizens to seek shelter immediately from incoming rockets. UPDATE: The missile was fired from Yemen. The explosive sounds heard were from interceptors.
Since October 7, our world has been shattered by unimaginable loss, it’s almost impossible to put into words. But tonight, we come together to ensure that the six precious lives lost, which we learned of yesterday, will never be forgotten. Each of these names carries with them a story, the story of the lives they touched. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23 🕯️ Eden Yerushalmi, 24 🕯️ Carmel Gat, 39 🕯️ Almog Sarusi, 26 🕯️ Alex Lubnov, 32 🕯️ Ori Danino, 25 🕯️ Let us remember not just their loss, but the light they brought into this world, and the legacy they leave behind. We will not let their deaths be in vain. As we remember them, we promise to carry their legacy, standing stronger and fighting for a future where such darkness never prevails again. May their memory be a blessing.
Today marks the anniversary of September 11, a day that forever changed history. Twenty-three years ago, we watched in horror as jihadi terrorists hijacked planes, crashing them into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, taking nearly 3,000 lives in an act of unspeakable hatred. It was a morning when the world stood still, families were shattered, and we were reminded of an ideology rooted in destruction and fear. As individuals and as a global community, we promised that we would never forget. But today, on this solemn anniversary, we must ask ourselves: Have we? On October 7th, we witnessed another atrocity. Hamas terrorists launched a brutal and unprovoked attack on innocent civilians. The horror of that day echoes the same terror of 9/11. And yet, the world seems divided in its response. But let’s be very clear: the ideology behind both of these attacks is the same. Jihadism didn’t start or end with Osama bin Laden. It lives on—in new places, in different forms—but it is the same evil, the same violence, the same goal: to destroy everything we stand for. To destroy freedom, democracy, and human life. We must never forget that this ideology is still very much alive. So today, on this solemn anniversary, let us come together as we once did. Let us never forget what we stand for: peace, freedom, and the right to live without fear. Just as we stood united after 9/11, we must stand united now, against Hamas, against any form of terrorism, and against the dangerous narrative that seeks to justify it. Because whether it’s Al-Qaeda or Hamas, the ideology is the same. As we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, we must also remember those taken by the senseless violence of October 7th. We must never forget the families shattered, the futures stolen, and the freedoms threatened by the evil of terrorism. Today, we must, once again, stand against hatred and violence in all its forms. May the victims of 9/11 never be forgotten, and may their memories remind us of the ongoing threat to the values we hold dear. God Bless America
Israel’s preemptive strike targeted long range missile launchers in Lebanon that were set to fire extensively towards Tel Aviv at 5 a.m. All targeted launchers were successfully destroyed. Israel in now bracing for a harsh retaliation from Hezbollah. Sources: New York Times, N12
I was recently on @skynews to speak about the deadly conditions that Hamas is holding 101 hostages in Gaza. They are starving. They are suffocating. They are being tortured in Holocaust-like conditions. We need to bring them home now and end Hamas’s reign of terror.
Yesterday, I joined @newsnationnow to discuss Israel’s decision to launch a preemptive and defensive strike on Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure in Lebanon threatening innocent Israeli civilians.
