Rajshri Deshpande Instagram – As we celebrating daughter’s day I too look back to my daughter’s in the villages.
Since 12 years I have been seeing my kids grow. There are many beautiful, empowering and successful stories in these 12 years but many heartbreaking heart wrenching stories I have experienced too.
– 12 to 13 years of girls still getting married.
– Many POSCO cases ( 13 year girl molestation cases) going on in villages and the culprits are still not found by the authorities.
– I have personally seen many girls dropping out of the school every year.
– Children still forced to go for work and there is no fear for any child labour law.
Rural interior Villages often neglected. The picture you see in cinema or social media’s is filtered, cropped or too dramatic.
Please Go back to your roots and find out how your villages are doing. How your farmers are doing. How their children studying. What kind of exposure, skill development, security, safety and care they are getting. What is their way of joy?
The world we imagining specifically for our girls is very far from the realities. Please Create that world for them before bringing a new one in to this world. 🌳🙏❤️
