It was an extraordinary experience as we delved into the slow life of the village and explored the distinctive delta landscape and backwaters. On the tour, our guide showed us a traditional temple, the coconut toffee factory and a local market. 🏝️
We made stops to try the local honey tea and banana chips and also a platter of fruits while we enjoyed some traditional music. Finally we went to an Indian restaurant along the Mekong river to eat a very home-style lunch. 😋
The tour started with the bus picking us up from the hotel, taking us to the port where we got on a motor boat, which dropped us at the village port and after we spent a day experiencing the Mekong Delta, we hopped on the boat and returned to the main port & finally to our hotel. What a day!!!! 🤠
