The year did end with a BANG actually. Was just settling down after a bad viral post my trip to the Netherlands when l lost a very close family member. Was just settling down again, healing my heart when I got a call for this show that I had been called for earlier but chose to let go of the offer cus I wasn’t mentally agree to give in so many hours because I wanted to be home with Krishay. But I guess it was destined for me in some way. After a lot back and forth, I got on set and when I entered the makeup room I wanted to turn back and get home. Was I ready for the commitment? Will my son be okay without me ? Working moms, I feel you. It’s just that’s constant guilt that we deal with all the time. But to my surprise, he’s okay. Happy to spend a few hours with me in the morning before I head to shoot, happy to show me his toys on video call in the day, happy to spend time with the rest of his family at home. And for us, We got to get back. Back to our jobs, our happy place. Cus we have our lives too to live don’t we ? After all l am Krishays mom but l am also Tanvi Thakkar. Haina ? And on the days off like today, I am a bandaid- stuck to my son the whole day because that’s my happiest place.
