Tulsi Kumar Instagram – Pop hitmaker Tulsi Kumar’s (@tulsikumar15) latest song “Vekhan Nu” sees the singer team up with music duo Akshay Raheja and IP Singh (from pop band Faridkot) (@akshayandip) and actor Taha Shah Badussha (@taahashah) for airy Punjabi folk-pop.
The song and video aim for an old-world charm in their aesthetics, with a love story at the center of it all. “Vekhan Nu” — released via T-Series and directed by filmmaker Taani Tanvi (@taanitanvir) — follows Kumar’s previous single “Dil Kuch Hor Ni Mangda.”
Kumar says about her latest, “I’ve gone all out and explored Punjabi folk music this time for Vekhan Nu, which was a huge shift for me in both audio and visual storytelling from my previous track […] With this song, I’ve explored an entirely new aesthetic that brings a fresh perspective to a love song. It was amazing collaborating with the lovely team Akshay & IP have created a melody that truly will touch the hearts, while IP’s heartfelt lyrics and Taha’s presence in the video add depth and charm to the project […] This track also gave me the opportunity to explore a fresh perspective in love songs — one where the girl takes the first step.
