Khyati Shree Instagram - I was skeptic about sound therapy but all my doubts were calmly put to rest. Sound healing is a Tibetan practice and it promises to align chakras. I don't know anything about chakras, but the vibrations from these singing bowls do have a therapeutic effect. If you have tried any form of meditation then you will also love sound therapy. It's like spa but for your mind. The bowls synchronise their vibrations and create powerful sensations on your body and around it. Do go to a professional like @_novikov_evgeny who knows which bowl to use for specific body part and customises the bowls as per the client's body type and needs. Anyone who struggles with focus in other forms of meditation can try sound therapy, where you have something outside of your mind to focus in this case its sounds and vibrations. Its very blissful. #singingbowls #singingbowltherapy #singingbowl #singingbowlhealing
Khyati Shree Instagram - I was randomly stopped on the street by this guy who was on his way to deliver an order. He looked very thrilled and shaken to see me, I was taken aback by his reaction on seeing me. So I tried to talk to him and calm him down, by the end he was feeling better 😊 Your love for me is so touching šŸ™šŸ½
Khyati Shree Instagram - Met this guy in UB City who was my fan and a tattoo enthusiast. He knew all of my tattoos even before meeting me, and requested seeing each one of those. He has plans to get a few himself and was inspired after seeing my tattoos. He was a very sweet guy. Had a very long conversation about life and tattoos but only posting snippets of it.

Khyati Shree Instagram - Had such an emotional moment with this auto wale bhaiyya. While I was taking the ride he explained how he has been driving since 6 in the morning and he did not get a chance to go home, which is why his Holi was colorless and dull. Since its peak season in Pushkar, he spent his day earning money instead of being with his family and friends playing Holi. He was missing the festivities so much that he said he won’t even charge me for the auto ride if I play Holi with him. So I did, it makes me happy to make someone’s day better ā˜ŗļø
Khyati Shree Instagram - Looked down to see my fuel tank was empty, but in Goa you never need to worry about where the nearest petrol pump is, every shop in sight sells petrol here. #goa #goabeach #goadiaries
Khyati Shree Instagram - Karthik, who works at the beach was really helpful in explaining to me how Padubidri Beach (in Udupi) got its label of cleanest beach in Karnataka. There are changing rooms, life guards, toilets and other facilities at this beach. All very well maintained and clean. The blue flag beach retains its label only because the staff spends time cleaning it daily, a team of 33 men and women are employed to do the job. It's a daily effort because the ocean brings a lot of plastic trash and debris with it, so even in off season when there are less tourists the beaches need to be cleaned. #karnataka #karnatakatourism #padubidribeach #udupi #udupidiaries
Khyati Shree Instagram - Went to a stationary shop to buy a pen and ended up falling in love with massagers. This is the reason I love visiting stationary shops, you find the most amazing stuff you think you need but will never use. As an adult I get excited by stationary shops like children get excited about toy shops. This is a really nice stationary shop in Hauz Khas market, they have an electronics sections too with the most cool and good quality gadgets in the market. Their stationary collection is also the best.
Khyati Shree Instagram - I was most excited to look at snakes in Delhi Zoo. Partly because it was an air conditioned space but mostly because I have very less knowledge of native Indian snakes and thought this visit could help me familiarise with them. A Python looks intimidating due to its size, that’s the reason it gets harmed so often however it is totally non venomous. A Rat Snake can be upto 2 metres long and people sometimes confuse it with Cobras as they are both very long and slender, however a Rat Snake is non poisonous and has a cute tiny head, a Cobra (aka ā€˜Naag’) has a very distinct inflated hooded and a patterned head which I think everyone is familiar with. Also I found out later, Rat Snake in hindi is Dhamin only. There are more types of venomous snakes in India apart from Cobra, but others were not present in the snake house. You will find 5-6 displays of Indian Rock Python, each bigger than the other, one cobra, one diadem and one rat snake. Those were the snakes and then there is one monitor lizard. Overall I still got to learn something, I would run but won’t harm a Rock Python, but I must say spotting differences between all these snakes takes a keen eye. #snakes #indiancobra #reptiles #ratsnake #delhizoo #snakehouse #monitorlizard

Khyati Shree Instagram - My trip has been exhausting and I was craving for a deep tissue massage. I came across a message from Ankit, a fan of mine and he invited me to his spa centre in Bilekahalli, Bangalore for a spa day. I got my nails done, had a dry back massage and an oil body massage, ended it with a shower and steam session. They have a pick and drop service as well, best part is the expertise of the masseuses here, they really help in relieving pain from the problem areas, music is perfect and the aura is very relaxing, ambient and hygenic. Came out feeling so refreshed šŸ’…šŸ’ƒ
Khyati Shree Instagram - Went to Eye-Illusion in Bangalore, it is an optical illusion themed park. There were many rooms full of wall sized paintings and at first it felt like I am entering empty rooms, but a few of the paintings really inspired me to start posing and interacting. I ended up having a lot of fun, its basically for kids but I am glad I went in. It is built in palace ground only (bangalore palace) and there is a snow park also beside it.
Khyati Shree Instagram - Marata Mess is run by Pradeep Pawar and his family. His forefathers came from Maharashtra and settled here in Mysore during the British Era. His dadaji used to work in the silk industry set up by Wodeyar Raja of Mysore. They have been living in Mysore for 120 years but are still very close to their Marathi roots. The menu is a mix of Mysorean and Marathi flavours. My favourite picks were Fish Fry with red chutney and Marathi Keema Balls (both dry and gravy versions). The Mutton Biryani and Raggi Mudde here is also very popular. The loud chatter and banter among the almost all women staff is refreshing. The work culture here is very lively, you see male and female workers joking, coordinating, directing, talking and laughing together and you wonder why should it be so difficult for men and women to work together. I am used to River Fishes, so just a heads up for folks who come from coastal areas, here you will only find Catla fish fries. The price of food here is so cheap that I had to ask why, he said the cost of labour here is cheap as well, so they keep the price low. Also they don’t spend on marketing or advertisement and have nothing to do with Swiggy or Zomato, still you will find this place always packed. You will mostly find locals here. Don’t bother to come here for breakfast or dinner because the shop opens from 12 PM to 4 PM only, Mondays off. The staff here is always smiling, at lunch time they take their breaks and all of them sit for lunch and eat the same food at the same benches where guests sit which shows how easy it is to treat your workers with respect if only the business owners have such good intentions.
Khyati Shree Instagram - Ever travelled in train for 50 hours, that's how long it takes from Delhi to Mysore via rail. Any tips for such long train journeys? Also, do you guys want me to give you a video tour of First AC in the next reel?
Khyati Shree Instagram - The trainers told me one can learn basics of horse riding, enough to take a ride alone in just 20-30 classes. Canterwoods Equestrian Centre is in Gurgaon, it is 20 minutes from the Golf Course Road, it will take 90 minutes to reach here from Delhi. The trail that I took started off on a pebbled street with farm houses all around, and in 10 minutes we had entered lush green jungle of Aravali. It costed 2000₹ per person for a 90 minute trail, they also had an option for 120 minute trail. The horse that I was on was Lockner, he was a 6 year old strong sports horse. Very strong yet gentle, these horses have an average lifespan of 20-25 years. Can't wait to be trained enough to take these horses for a run at their fullest speed one day šŸ’•
Khyati Shree Instagram - Truth about the strange animal spotted at the oath taking ceremony. I went to Rashtrapati Bhawan to find what really happened.

These men along with some 150 other gardeners are responsible for the upkeep of the 15 acre garden at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Some of them have been working for 8-9 years and they absolutely love their job. #rashtrapatibhavan #leapord #oathceremony #india

Khyati Shree Instagram - We caught two fishes only because its off season for fishing, their sizes are small and they are able to escape the net easily. We still got two and had a tasty dinner at night. Catching fish is an everyday activity in coastal Karnataka either in river or in the sea. Khyati Shree Instagram - When for a movie today. Have you seen this one?
Khyati Shree Instagram - This is the first AC of train no. 12782 DEL NZM - MYS Express. I had somewhat higher expectations because of the price I paid for the tickets 5k for one person. Also because it was a long journey I had to rely on railway services for a comfortable experience. The food was bearable and not free. The spaciousness, the privacy and the pet dogs that frequent First AC are the benefits of booking first class. I had planned to use my 50hrs in train as two days of digital detox but sadly I was getting really good 5G connection and ended with 3-4 hrs of screen time still. The washroom aesthetic is still of tin can. Everything could just be a lot better, especially hygiene. Carrying your own food and snacks is still strongly advised. You get services of IRCTC E-catering, but the quality of food provided through those vendors is also questionable. Only on one station I found Dominos serving, but my appetite was gone by then. Also I just kept wondering, train tracking should be much easier the E-enquiry website glitches too much, a simple map and real time running status inside the train would be so so cool.
Khyati Shree Instagram - Got a relaxing massage at a local saloon in Pushkar today. It’s a very low budget yet effective massage that you can get done at Benny’s 60 year old shop. His hands are strong and his moves are superb, such a relieving moment on a hectic trip ā˜ŗļøšŸ™šŸ½

Khyati Shree Instagram - First day in Mysore
Khyati Shree Instagram - These houses I found in ruins were at Uchila beach in Ullal, only 20 minutes from Mangalore. I went to Uchila beach to stay at an Airbnb and to experience my first coastal Karnataka city. Karnataka has a long coastal line and Ullal is at its southernmost point hardly 10 minutes away from Kerala border. I dumped my luggage as soon as I reached my room and headed to the beach that was just a 1 minute away, the beach was empty, with no people and no shops only a few fishermen who were fishing at distance. Entering into the sea was not possible, it was unsafe because of high tides and also because the whole beach was lined with heavy boulders to protect the village from sea erosion. It seemed a step too late because a dozen of houses seem to have already vanished, families have left their homes and from what the locals told me houses on the other side of the road also face threat of sea flooding in near future despite of granite reinforcement of the beach. A person told me, 15 years back the sea used to be much further away and Govt. has declared this area unsafe and prone to sea destruction. The village is nice and people are living slow paced lives, don't get Uber or Ola cabs here, there are no big resorts or hotels on this beach. The houses here are big, with big unkept gardens, the roads are narrow but mostly empty, life here seems peaceful and I could see why it would be hard to leave this life even at the face of danger.

Khyati Shree Instagram - RAMESHWARAM CAFE vs THE FILTER COFFEE. Rameshwaram cafe serves Kannada style dosa, it is thicker, doused in ghee and butter, comes with a minty coconut chutney and slightly sweeter sambar. Filter Coffee has fully Tamil style dosa, less oily (unless its ghee roast dosa), plain, thick and flavorful coconut chutney and sambhar with the right amount of heat. Both are always crowded. Filter coffee was my personal favourite amongst the two dosa joints in Indiranagar, Bangalore

Khyati Shree Instagram - I was sitting in a cafe on Kudle Beach in Gokarna, having tea when this guy came and said he does temporary tattoos. I told him I wanted to get something small. He started flipping his catalog and I started scrolling through my Pinterest pins. I found this small spider design saved since years in my feed. This was perfect because I wouldn’t ever get a permanent tattoo placed here and this way I still get to know how it would look if I did. The tattoo turned out sharper than I expected once it peeled out. It's the same ink that is used to mark the fingernails during voting process, so this tattoo won't come out for 10-15 days. #karnataka #karnatakatourism #gokarna #gokarnadiaries #gokarnabeach #temporarytattoo
Khyati Shree Instagram - Arun bhaiya sells coconut water for ₹100 and everyone gets shocked with his prices but I have seen coconut water being sold for ₹200-300 at other expensive shacks, so why not. His is a simple stall with cute handmade benches to sit on, yoga mats became his carpet, discarded wood on beach became benches and pillars for mounting roof, his foreign friends helped him in painting and decoration. I will definitely get back on his offer of teaching me to drive a speedboat.
Khyati Shree Instagram - Church street is crowded from morning to 1 at night, until cops come to close down the shops. It has so many cute shops, cafes and bars. Although very crowded, its still my favourite place in Bangalore to spend time at, just to sit in cafe and watch people go by was a good past time. The entire bangalore flocks in here and so do so many tourists.

Khyati Shree Instagram - Met these two fierce women on the streets of Pushkar, they are from Kalbelia tribe. Since centuries the men in their community have been snake charmers and the women danced to the tune of pungi. Worshipping snake, kissing snake, and dancing to pungi has been part of their age old tradition and beliefs. However, since 1972 keeping snakes is not allowed and so the husbands have been put out of jobs, and women have become the bread winners. Through dancing in the markets or charging tourists for mehendi and photography opportunities they run their houses. If a woman is lucky she may be called for a private event or for a cultural dance show. Life is tough for them, they are nomads and they travel the dessert and cities on their donkeys, they do not earn enough to be able to educate all their children. With no roof on head and no regular income these women preferred that customers bought for them ration instead of paying money. They believed money will get spent on non-essentials but ration is a necessity. So here I am buying for them ration of 15 days.

Khyati Shree Instagram - Life update, I am leaving Delhi forever. Its been my home and its been my dream city. Delhi has so much to give, its an endless treasure. Delhi has been a refuge to the world, but now its difficult to breathe here, population and pollution has both taken a huge toll. Sadly I don't see things getting better anytime soon. We suffered the worst AQI when we were promised the lowest in last decade. So many more things that I will miss about this place, can't possibly pen everything down. These are just a few things I was able to capture that are my favourites. Saying goodbye to chaos for sometime now šŸ’•

Khyati Shree Instagram - This was my first Sunburn. I am unsure if it's as good as the previous ones because I was bit let down by the setup and management. I was expecting green grass to sit on during breaks, there was no chilled water and cold drinks, there were no dustbins, the decoration was very mid, VIP area was also disappointing, lastly rocky ground was a pain to walk on and I could not imagine dancing on it. #sunburngoa2024 #sunburn #sunburngoa #sunburnfestival
Khyati Shree Instagram - Qutub Minar is so so beautiful, words fall short. The fact that it was built almost 1000 years ago just makes it even more glorious. A number of structures around it are in ruins, but the detailed carvings on each pillar and stone around it still makes us wonder how beautiful it would have all looked. #qutubminar #qutubminaršŸ—¼ #qutubminardelhi

Khyati Shree Instagram - The view from Zostel Gokarna was mesmerising, nothing like I had seen before. Pictures could never justify. There is something magical and absolutely thrilling about viewing a vast ocean from hill top and Gokarna provides just that. However to really enjoy the water, you do need access to clean beaches, and the beach right infront of the hostel, the Main Gokarna beach was verrrry disappointing. The dirty beach was a big reality check. We a took 15 minute scooty ride and went to Kudle beach which turned out to be my favourite one of the three famous beaches in Gokarna. Kudle beach is lined with small shacks and was quite clean, its a big broad sandy beach with fewer people and fun, relaxed, laidback vibes. Next was Om beach which is more crowded, partly because of the famous Namaste cafe which had good food. The beach is rockier so you can sit for hours on them without getting wet. I saw more people enjoying on Kudle and Om beach, I could spot a younger crowd than other coastal Karnataka towns. But to call Gokarna the Goa of Karnataka would be a misnomer, it is far different from Goa in terms of beach accessibility and tourism. #karnataka #karnatakatourism #gokarna #gokarnadiaries #gokarnabeach

Khyati Shree Instagram - The Akbar Fort in Ajmer has now been converted to a Museum and it is managed by the Government of Rajasthan. This is the historic building from where Jahangir for the first time allowed East India Company to trade with India, Haldighati battle was planned here, Prince Salim was born here, it was also Akbar’s home when he visited Dargah at Ajmer. If ancient scriptures, Indian sculptures, paintings and ā€˜my favourite’, remains from Indus Valley Civilisation excites you then this place is a must visit. Seeing the findings from Indus Valley Civilisation in this museum was like revisiting the first chapter of my history book, all the textbook images were in-front of me. Hope someday I get to visit the actual site too. The fort reflected the Mughal grandeur with thick walls and beautiful gardens. However, the museum management could do better, some of the displays had no descriptions, the ancient scriptures looked so fascinating but there was no translated version for non-sanskrit speakers, a museum lover would love to read a thourough background of some of the displays instead of just the year of formation, the washroom was dilapidated and had no door locks or handwash.
Khyati Shree Instagram - We spotted many animals, like elephants and crocodiles but sadly no tiger at Jim Corbett. There are eight major zones in Jim Corbett, and I went to Dhikala zone which has the maximum concentration of tigers in a zone. Chances of spotting the big cat is higher if you book a jeep safari than a canter, because canters due to their size make a lot of noise and can’t do off roading. I found out much later that Jim Corbett also offers night stays inside the jungle and booking for a night stay in the jungle needs to be made 45 days in advance via their website. I still had a lot of fun being in the jungle. #jimcorbett #jimcorbettnationalpark #jimcorbettdiaries #jimcorbettnationalpark🌳🌿 #jimcorbettsafari

Khyati Shree Instagram - I visited Delhi Zoo yesterday and although we are going through one of the hottest summers, it was a surprisingly pleasant trip. There were a lot of visitors even at 12 PM and the ticket was only ₹80. You get an option to reserve an e-cart which will take you around the zoo, or you could explore on foot. In my opinion there is no need to take the cart as the walk is not very long. The local zoo in any town is called the green lung of the city. It’s true also because there is almost no forest cover in an urban landscape, and a zoological park sometimes is the only green oasis in a concrete jungle, it serves as a heat and carbon sink. In school days, trips to zoo were probably the most exciting days of the year, seeing the animals which sounded mythical in textbooks so closely gave a rush of adrenaline. It’s still wonderful, I have been to many national parks but spotting a tiger in forest has not been in my luck. So seeing emus, ostriches, white tigers, lions and cobras within a few hours was still thrilling, but I am now also aware that animals are complex beings. They have routines, they play important role in an ecosystem, they have emotions, they compete, they bond and they get depressed too. Seeing a leopard prey, herd of elephants navigating through forest or chimps feasting on fruit trees are the sights that what will actually educate children about nature and the beauty of diversity. People can’t be taught the importance of wildlife conservation by watching these animals kept as captives in zoo. We saw a number of visitors punching and shaking the cages, putting their belongings inside the cage to evoke a reaction, shouting and screaming to incite them. In my opinion, national parks, sanctuaries or even documentaries are better ways to learn about wildlife because it is not at the expense of any animal’s freedom. #delhizoo #delhitourism #delhitravel #wildlife #lion
Khyati Shree Instagram - There is not much to do in Dubare elephant camp. On a number of websites it was written you can bathe and oil the elephants but on reaching there people said its not allowed due to swollen river bank. Although many visitors told me it's the same in other seasons as well. I was also expecting some demonstration by guides and Mahouts on the maintainece and training of the elephants, or some notes on the elephant's life and nature, it would have added value to my trip to Dubare. I couldn't really understand what was the purpose of keeping these elephants captive in these camps, what purpose are they filling there, probably an explanation of what happens to elephants in this camp would have left me more satisfied. If you want to see an elephant up close then you can pay a visit to Dubare Elephant camp or the two other elephant camps that are there in Karnataka. All in all there is zero interaction with guides and Mahouts in the camp, I ended up feeling sorry for these animals and only hoped these animals are not just baits for tourists, hope they are well fed and well kept. #karnataka #karnatakatourism #dubareelephantcamp #dubareelephantcamp🐘🐘 #elephant #elephantcamp #coorg

Khyati Shree Instagram - The match was in Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi), it was my first time witnessing cricket live in a Stadium and the experience was exhilarating. The cricket field felt surprisingly smaller than what I had imagined from my living room, it was probably because I could see the players in scale to the field. A match as unimportant as this one (DC vs RR) was also full house and full of excitement. I wasn’t expecting so much thrill and roar from the crowd as I did. I wish it was a little windy because the heat and humidity made it quite uncomfortable to rub shoulders with spectators seated next to you. The seats are small and everyone is seated very closely. No parking whatsoever, you’ll have to park miles away, so get a cab. Hosting a full stadium full of people takes a toll on management and cleanliness but honestly a match as exciting as this one makes it all worth it. Do carry a handheld fan, and don’t carry your airpods, you’ll be asked to submit it in cloak room. #ipl #ipl2024

Khyati Shree Instagram - This museum was inaugurated in May last year and this is the second museum on Partition in India. A number of displays have been donated by survivors of Partition for example, a cheque book that a man carried from Lahore as a refugee to India but he couldn’t withdraw his money in Indian banks, similarly other articles that refugees carried e.g: trunks, locks, jewellery, dupattas, vessels, wedding pictures etc, are all on display. Going through the museum one understands how sudden and shocking it was for millions of families who were uprooted from their lands in a matter of days. It was also very interesting to understand how demographics of Delhi changed post partition, what new colonies came up, where refugee camps were set up, how these refugee communities rebuild themselves from scratch. This museum is inside the beautiful Ambedkar University campus, and metro would be the best route to take as its in Old Delhi and the area is prone to traffic. Exit from Gate No. 7 of Kashmere Gate Metro Station and reach Gate No. 1 of Ambedkar University via a 2 minute auto ride. Its a new museum and is still expanding, people who do not enjoy reading too much should know that there is a lot of text and information to read in this museum, for example news articles, stories, interviews, context and background of every display is quite detailed. Entry is absolutely free of cost, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Khyati Shree Instagram - As the sun was about to set, the crowd started pouring in the ground. That's the great thing about music and dance, once you get lost in it nothing else matters. The artists were amaziiniigg, I went to watch Argy play live, but fell in love with so many new artists, discovered love for a new genre, unlocked a few new dance moves, shared the joy of perfect beat drops with music lovers, what a fun night. A number of people told me this could be the last Sunburn in Goa, there has been lot of controversy and protests over organising Sunburn, if this is true then its a great loss for us. I am unsure what the constraints must have been, is it over-regulation, corruption, lack of support from govt., but we may just lose our biggest music festival due to any or all of these reasons. Hope to be part of a bigger and better Sunburn festival next year šŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ¤žšŸ½#sunburn #sunburnfestival #sunburngoa2024

Khyati Shree Instagram - This was a sudden plan to Dudhsagar waterfalls. We boarded a bus and reached the booking counter at 8 AM, you can also take a train up till Kulem Railway station. This is one the coldest lake water that I dipped into, it was freezing cold water under hot sun. You need to book the tickets online a day earlier, it costs around ₹800. After showing the IDs at counter, a 7 seater jeep was allotted, its on first come first serve basis so you may be asked to wait, jeep then takes you to gates of the reserved forest, from there it is 30 minutes of bumpy ride to another gate. We only got 1 hr 30 minutes of time to enjoy inside the park. Its extremely beautiful. Owing to the strict crowd management policies, the forest is untouched, its clean and only few people at a time are allowed inside. The view of Konkan Railway against the mighty hills was breathtaking, the architecture was admirable both of nature and the railways. I’ll never forget and I will keep going back to this site, and I highly recommend you do too. Beware of monkeys, they are pros at opening bags and stealing food and even cameras. Do take swimwear and spare clothing if you want to enjoy the water. šŸ’•

Khyati Shree Instagram - A surprising thing happened today, I am so happy. Stay tuned you all !!!
Khyati Shree Instagram - Trek to Paradise beach was quite easy except we took a wrong turn at one point and had to push through a lot of thorny bushes. There are two routes to reach Paradise Beach and Half Moon Beach and both are good. One starts from Om Beach which is popular. The other route starts from Belken Beach. You can also camp at these beaches and at night if you are lucky you may get to see Bio-luminescence at the beach. #gokarna #gokarnadiariesšŸŒŠšŸŒ… #paradisebeach #halfmoonbeach
Khyati Shree Instagram - When I asked you guys what are the things I should try in Mangalore, most of you replied go to Pabbas. Mangalore is an industrial city, big ports, refineries and companies but the favourite hangout spot in the city still remains this ice cream parlor. A big city with small city vibes. #karnataka #karnatakatourism #mangalore #mangalorediaries #mangalorefood

As an adult I get excited by stationary shops like children get excited about toy shops. This is a really nice stationary shop in Hauz Khas market, they have an electronics sections too with the most cool and good quality gadgets in the market. Their stationary collection is also the best.

Khyati Shree - 108.1K Likes - These houses I found in ruins were at Uchila beach in Ullal, only 20 minutes from Mangalore.

His is a simple stall with cute handmade benches to sit on, yoga mats became his carpet, discarded wood on beach became benches and pillars for mounting roof, his foreign friends helped him in painting and decoration. I will definitely get back on his offer of teaching me to drive a speedboat.

Khyati Shree - 73.4K Likes - There is not much to do in Dubare elephant camp.

Khyati Shree - 70.4K Likes - This museum was inaugurated in May last year and this is the second museum on Partition in India.

Khyati Shree - 67K Likes - This was a sudden plan to Dudhsagar waterfalls. Do take swimwear and spare clothing if you want to enjoy the water. šŸ’•
