Alice Waters Instagram – I went to my dear friend Suzanne Goin’s restaurant AOC last night. (Thank you Michael for inviting me) It felt really so safe in the beautiful 1930’s garden. Radishes , butter, thin grilled toasts and a glass of rosé came immediately to the table! She serves my kind of simple and delicious food! Suzanne is an amazing optimistic person and so lucky to have started a catering company that has the space to continue at this difficult time. Small restaurants are closing everyday. We are praying for government help NOW!
Alice Waters Instagram – I am thinking of my friend Wes Jackson and his Land Institute in Salina Kansas. One time I was on his board many years ago! Everything he has been trying to do is about the future: feeding ourselves and addressing climate change. This morning my daughter @fannysinger is making Kernza pancakes with a flour made from his prairie plants.
