I have been struggling to find the words. I feel so angry. The women of Turkey feel so angry. Violence against children and violence against women in Turkey do not solely come from the streets and strangers as it has been taught to us, it so often happens in the very place where women and children are supposed to be the safest: within the family. We have to talk about the family structures and oppressions. We have the change these broken old laws and adopt a new progressive legislation to protect victims of abuse and violence.
