I grew up with amazing souls like @samiyamumtazactor @fijster my brother @ofj2101 & @farazehsyed__studio …so ti spontaneous little dance came naturally to us…. This song “Piya tose naina lagay” was a favourite of mine to dance to as a little girl. Had a great time letting that little girl out to dance with the stunning Samo, who is such a fantastic dancer, as wonderful Bhai and beautiful Fzay sang to perfection. Nothing like good friends who are authentic, real, down to earth, brilliantly talented, spontaneous and fun. We couldn’t be bothered if anyone was watching or not, we just danced from our hearts as they sang from theirs. 😂 Grateful for these people and such moments in my life. Always always always. Even when I’m 90 years old!
This wasn’t planned. It was a spontaneous initiative. Huma Safdar picked the first piece of trash and we all followed. Thank you to my amazing niece and son for accompanying me to the Ravi River today. It was heartbreaking. Almost like visiting our beloved Ravis grave. Thank you to everyone who helped clean a small part o the bank up. It was a token gesture but a powerful one. I hope @govtofpunjabpk @maryamnawazofficial @shehbazsharif @phdec.pk @walledcitylahoreauthority can work with @ravibachaotehreek & @abuzarmadhu to find solutions to clean up the banks and our Bara Dari and protect it from further toxic chemicals and waste. This was not water in the Ravi bed, IT WAS POISON. And YES NEXT TIME I WILL TAKE GLOVES FOR US ALL.
Uff Bhai sang this to Ami, so beautifully last night. Abu would sing this to Ami practically every day for the 60 years they were together. They are the most legendary, magnificent love story. It’s my dream to see it become a novel and a film some day. A truly happy love story with epic details of two different souls colliding and creating a world of their own. Bhai @ofj2101 singing it for Ami always makes me cry, tears because we miss him so much, but also tears of gratitude, because he is so close to us even now and we had such a beautiful life with him and such stunning memories and lessons to honour. He has returned to who he belonged to and we feel blessed to have had Abu, and have Abu, within us. Shukar Alhamdolillah Allah Ka Karam. I love and respect every one in this room and thank them for making this memory possible a well:)

Most beautiful shab e barat with my babies, the angels at the Lahore Child Protection Bureau, my home way from home. A dua that every baby, every child here is blessed with happiness, health and abundance. Over 30 years working with children and babies, it just keeps getting more and more rewarding. My heart ♥️ is full of determination an my gut stays committed. This is the rest of my life. Alhamdolillah. Visualise a Pakistan, a WORLD in children are thriving, have access to opportunities in learning & creativity, have access to resources, play, have access to healthcare, an incredible education and super supportive community. Time flowed effortlessly. Realised… I need to find ways to go to India to meet my loved ones more often! Some relationships and people are too precious. From khussas to trying on kabuli jewellery, to matching outfits, and ghar ka khana, lemon grass tea, meeting the bachas and listening to life stories and Nuris singing… Not enough time. I wish we lived closer. Love you beautiful friend♥️

I begged.. begged them for a bed till his donor came. I’ve seen this kind, soft spoken young man grow in front of me. I’ve known him since he was a baby. Saw him married, saw his babies. He lived life. He loved his wife and kids. He adored his old parents and siblings. And he was adored by us all RIP Shani beta. I’m sorry. Forgive us for letting you down so badly. We failed you. Please say a prayer for my magnificent Abu to be in eternal bliss, in the highest gardens of Jannah, it’s his birthday today! A happy day indeed! Today one of the kindest, sweetest, funnest, funniest, most beautiful souls in the world was born. Aba was a one of a kind husband. His love story with @nusciejamil is legendary. She was the centre of his universe, his Sun. He was a fantastic father, a loving brother, a doting son, caring Uncle, loved employer, great friend & spectacular human being. Aba loved all things beautiful. He loved beautiful moon lit nights, good music of any kind, poetry, literature, movies, dogs, birds, his couch, his fig & mango trees. He was a gentle, romantic man, & a deeply practicing Sufi, who sensed the Divne in everything & who loved to find humour & joy everywhere. He taught us to love deeply, to enjoy & pursue knowledge & develop a refined taste for anything & everything…to laugh easily, not take ourselves to seriously & to forgive & forget for one’s ease of mind. He loved life but was so calm, fearless & ready to meet his maker, when he was leaving, solid in the knowledge that he had never wronged a living being, & certain in his Love for Allah. Aba surrendered to his Faith with complete Tawakul. He told me that if I was regular in prayer & meditation, after his death, I would be able to meet him at a spiritual plane, beyond the mere physical, & Alhamdolillah it is true. I know today Bhai @ofj2101 & I learn from him & sense him at a whole other level. Abu is the calm in my heart. I often feel his smile deep within my soul. His blood, genetic memory, DNA, his wisdom courses through me beyond even a cellular level. There is not a moment in my day that I don’t thank Allah for the miraculous gift of a father like you @jaliljamil Alhamdolillah Shukar Alhamdolillah & Happy Birthday my love.
