Nandita Das Instagram – Today is the International Day of Education. Many children don’t get it at all. Some who do, it can’t be called education. And a few who are actually close to nature, working with their hands, given the space to question and encouraged to think and reflect, are truly fortunate. But such disparity is unacceptable. Real education for all should be non-negotiable. It is every child’s right. As a mother, what I want for my child, I wish for every child in this world. Sharing some images from where my son studies. No place is perfect, but some of the things that I hold dear are there and we are grateful for that. I know just wishing is of no use. We all, in our own little way need to work towards it. I try to engage with students and teachers whenever I can. We have to listen to what the children have to say. Or else celebrating this day would just be tokenism. | Posted on 24/Jan/2025 18:42:45
