February felt like a soft reset.
January left its weight on my shoulders, and for a while, I wasn’t sure I’d shake it off. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d make it out of January in one piece. Everything felt so heavy. Moving on felt impossible. But my girls—my constants—were there, pulling me out of that dark hole I thought I’d stay trapped in. They pulled me back to myself, piece by piece.
And before I knew it, February started to feel… different. Lighter. And somehow, February surprised me. It was exciting in ways I didn’t expect. Full of moments that made me pause and actually breathe. Little surprises here and there that made me smile when I wasn’t even trying to. I caught myself laughing more, breathing deeper, actually enjoying the moment instead of replaying the past. There was calmness. There was laughter. And dare I say… there was happiness too? Yeah. There was.
For the first time in a while, I let myself feel it. And it felt good.
But in those quiet, steady moments where you realize, “Hey, maybe I’m okay right now.”
