cape town everything! my only regret about cape town is not visiting sooner. south africa is truly a special place, and i can’t wait to return. we began our trip in stanford, about two hours outside cape town, for a wedding. we stayed at the stanford valley lodge, which was absolutely incredible—peaceful, with fantastic food. in cape town, we stayed at the dorp hotel, which has quickly become one of my favorite hotels in the world. it’s the perfect blend of luxury and warmth, making you feel both at home and like you’re staying at a top-tier hotel. you absolutely have to stay here. some of the standout restaurants were: the bungalow, bobo’s, the athletic club & social, clarke’s, our local, sonny & irene, jarryd’s, kiki’s, kloof street house, blondie’s, and arthur’s mini super. oranjezicht market is an absolute must-visit. lion’ head hike & the movement lab (class with jess) were my favorite ways to move. babylonstoren is a magical place—part winery, part farm, with beautiful restaurants, snack shops, wine tasting, and cozy coffee spots. don’t miss seeing the penguins at boulders beach. some of my favorite beaches included cosy bay, clifton 2, and saunders beach.
