Happy Lohdi 🙂 Thank you @amritaraichand for sharing such a warm recipe 🙂 Marunda Ingredients Ghee-1 Tbsp Jaggery-1 cup Water – 1 tbsp Roasted Chana(Black Chickpeas)- 1/2 cup Roasted & skinless peanuts-1/2 cup Murmura (Puffed Rice)-2 cups (you may use popcorn also if you like) Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp Method -Heat ghee in a wok/deep pan. Add the jaggery along with a splash of water & allow it to melt completely. -Now add the roasted chana, peanuts & mix well. -Add murmura, a pinch of cardamom powder & give it a good mix. -Remove on a plate, and as soon as you can handle it, roll them into large spheres which we call MARUNDAS. Important Recipe Note- Do not let it cool too much, otherwise it won’t come together

This strawberry crumble has kinda become my signature dish besides of course the jungles maas you keep hearing people rave about when they visit my home 😅 My mother-in-law asked me when she saw this video; why the hell do you give away all your recipes??? If you think you can guess the answer I gave her, pen it down in the comments & I’ll let you know if you are right or not☺️ INGREDIENTS 400 grams strawberries (halved) Castor sugar – 1/4th cup Vanilla extract- 2 tsp For the Crumble : All-purpose flour(maida) – 1/2 cup Baking powder- 1 tsp Butter (chilled and cubed)- 75 gms Rolled Oats – 1/2 cup Almond flour/ ground almonds- 1/4 th cup Almonds(sliced)- 1/2 cup Brown sugar- 75 gms METHOD Preheat the oven to 180°C Place the strawberries in a serving dish. Sprinkle them with castor sugar & vanilla extract. With the help of a spoon just mix all the ingredients and allow the strawberries to macerate slightly. Don’t leave it for too long though. For the crumble topping, take a bowl & add the flour, baking powder to it & using a whisk, mix it. Then add the chilled butter & rub it into the flour till looks like breadcrumbs. Now add the almond flour, oats, brown sugar & half of the almond flakes into the flour & butter mixture; give it a good mix with a fork. Topple this entire crumble mixture over the strawberries. Finally distribute the remaining sliced almonds on top & bake for about 20-25 minutes. The crumble should look golden & crisp on top, with some of the strawberry juice bubbling around. Remove when done and place it on a cooling rack. This simple recipe isn’t just comforting but also great for your heart! 🍄🥣 Mushrooms are packed with antioxidants and nutrients that support heart health🫀 So this one’s a win for both taste and wellness✨ Recipe: Ingredients: Olive oil- 1 tsp Onion(finely chopped) – 1 medium Garlic( sliced) – 4-5 Button mushrooms(sliced)- 200 gm Salt & white pepper to taste 2 tbsp white wine 2-3 sprigs thyme 2 – 3 cups boiling water 1/4th cup warm milk Method : Take a sauce pot, and heat a dash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté till golden. Then add the onions and sauté till softened. Now add the sliced mushrooms (reserve some for garnish) to the pot. Season with salt and white pepper. Sauté until the mushrooms release their moisture and begin to soften. Now pour in the white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom. Let the wine reduce slightly. Toss in the thyme and add the boiling water. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse and the liquid to reduce for a thicker texture. Now remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Then, blend it into a smooth purée in a mixer grinder jar. Do not use a hand blender unless you don’t mind a coarse texture. Return the blended soup to the pot. Add the warm milk and simmer gently to combine, do not boil to ensure that the milk doesn’t curdle. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with the reserved sliced mushrooms and a few sprigs of thyme. This Ven Pongal recipe is the family favourite of one my really close Tamilian Friends. It’s super simple and super comforting. Festival or not, this is one dish you definitely need to try! ❤️😋😋 Recipe: Ingredients Rice – 1 cup Moong Dal – 50 gm Salt to taste ghee – 1 tbsp Water 5 cups Milk – 1/3 cup For Tempering Jeera – 1tsp Ginger – 1” Black peppercorns(whole) – 8-10 Salt to taste Cashews( halved)- 6-7 Curry leaves – 8-10 Hing – 1/2 tsp Method Add ghee to a pressure cooker and roast the dal in it. Then add the rice, salt, milk & water, mix and give it 4 whistles. Once done, allow it to cool. Meanwhile, crush in mortar and pestle the jeera, ginger, salt and black pepper. Then add ghee to a tempering pan, followed by the prepared mixture and sauté till fragrant. Add cashews, a pinch of hing and 8-10 curry leaves. Pour on the prepared khichdi & mix well.
