Ma and papa, we won an iffa!! Feb 2022 when I was discussing Berlin and my character, everyone advised me against It. The length of the character was small. And it had no dialogues at all. I wondered how would I communicate my character’s internal state.. without dialogues and that is what made me most interested in it. In fact she dint have a name.. which meant she could be anything – she was a woman. All this and the fact that I loved @atulsanalog ‘s work and believed in him and the script was so different.. it had wonderful actors like @aparshakti_khurana and @ishwaksingh who were friends and had my all time favourite @rahulbose. I had to work with him. N so I said yes. 3 years later I was standing on @iifa stage, getting my first iifa award for the same performance. Apart from being eternally grateful, it gave me the confidence that we as actors can choose to do roles irrespective of the calculations, just for our heart and enjoyment of craft. Choose ppl, projects, experiences that intrigue us. N the jurors would notice the intent and nuances of the character without a voice. Thank you @iifa I grew to deeply appreciate @zeestudiosofficial team and through Berlin made some wonderful friends in the ever enthusiastic team helmed by @shariq_patel which worked hard to make real, nuanced movies like Berlin happen. @divvyanidhhi – thank you for styling us to perfection Ashok sir and Sandeep sir’s set design was intricate and impeccable @bypenaz thank you for making me look good @shree_nj – thank you for the world you created. @mediavantage @aahutee @curly_bravey – thank you for having my back. Tantra – is the embodiment of spirituality, of seeing divinity in one self and others.. being in love with self and life, accepting oneself and through that accepting others.. to balance the masculine and feminine polarities that reside in all of us. I am yet to figure out how to understand and express the shifts and embodied experiences I have felt through tantra so far.. N so I have delayed posting this reel for so long, cause i wanted to do justice to it, but finally just surrendering to not being able to express it satisfactorily at this point. All these years since my healing journey started, I was intrigued by tantra – (in simple ways, any technique one practices – yoga, inner work, meditations, chanting – all are tantra) But there were so many misconceptions around it that I was scared to try it, until i took the dive and for am so proud that I did.. for now it seems as one of the best paths to heal my inner child and be on the way of being the woman and human I have always dreamt of being.. I met some fabulous facilitators and teachers, so willing to give and heal others, in that their souls shine through them. I have met and connected with some beautiful souls.. whose mere existence have soothed my heart and given me hope.. a hug, a smile, connecting with eyes, a deep embrace can do so much, when done with real love and understanding of each others pain.. tantra makes that possible.. the coming of souls looking for more in life together.. to find real meaning to life.. Thank you @devshriyog for being so accepting and welcoming me into your festival, when I had so many doubts.. if not for that first phone conversation with you I would have never found this beautiful practice.. @lovetemplegoa ❤️ only love and gratitude for you. If i could, I would suggest everyone to go through at least one workshop and see if it resonates with them.
