At the park with him today, I found myself so conscious of the sheer joy and love between us both. I knew without a doubt that someday I’d wish to be back in this exact moment time. It felt like I was watching the experience become a memory. I spent time memorizing the curves of his little face, the squeal of his excited laugh, the feeling of his soft hair dancing in the breeze and grazing my cheek while he sat on my lap in the little red firetruck. For a moment, time stopped. “We’ll never be this young again,” I thought. With all the chaos of the world we found peace today, together, at our park. I know that someday I’ll look at these photos and remember every last detail of this day and be transported to these moments of pure peace, love and gratitude.
