Danielle Robay Instagram – Barack Obama famously called education the great equalizer—the key to opportunity, the bridge to a better future. But if knowledge is power, the real question is: how do we ensure everyone has access to it?
For me, education has always been deeply personal. My grandfather was a professor, my grandmother an English teacher in Chicago. On the other side, my family were Holocaust survivors who impressed upon us one unshakable truth: no matter what happens, no matter where you are in the world, no one can take away your education.
It’s something my friend @elena and I have bonded over for years. Her father is an educator, and now she is a professor—at USC. After spending years as what I call the Olivia Pope of social media (seriously, she’s behind the strategy and execution of so many of your favorite accounts), she’s now channeling her digital expertise and deep love of teaching to build a bridge between knowledge and culture, between academia and the everyday.
Watching Human Possibility come to life has been nothing short of inspiring. Everything Elena creates is rooted in precision, artful direction, and—above all—human connection. Her first project? A spotlight on the minds shaping how we learn, starting with Dr. Lars Perner of USC—a professor who has spent his life advocating for neurodiversity and reimagining education. Since being diagnosed with a mild case of Asperger’s Syndrome in the ’90s, often referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Lars has written and spoken extensively about his own experiences, the need for inclusive education, and the big picture of autism. His work is a powerful reminder that eccentricity should be embraced, not erased.
If you believe in lifelong learning, curiosity, and the power of education to transform lives, this is one to watch. A necessary, beautiful step forward. Tap in. ✨ @human.possibility
