Haley Webb Instagram – The first Entertainment Labor For Palestine fundraising and solidarity events of 2025 were a huge success thanks to ALL who attended our screenings of the Oscar short-listed FROM GROUND ZERO at Jackson Market. Fabulous location, incredible food and Community and a POWERFUL FILM FROM FILMMAKERS ON THE GROUND IN GAZA. These kinds of events not only support in actionable ways but serve to support our hearts and minds.
Each night shared together in community was so deeply moving and the funds raised will directly help those in Gaza. Over 3 nights we raised $5162. $1500 went to the filmmakers and the remaining $3662 will go to LUBA mutual aid to help people in Gaza w transport, towards the purchase of an electric wheelchair and towards the building of a preschool.
A huge THANK YOU to Watermelon Pictures for enabling this event, Jackson Market for the incredible space, Emily & Dina for the delicious meal, the addl food donation from Dama Grill , our Palestinian brother for sharing with us*, and Fatima, The Knafeh Queen herself for the out of this world Knafeh.
