@guidedogfoundation is looking for volunteers to raise these puppies who will become service dogs. I raised several of them with my children and I am waiting for my grandchildren to be a bit older to do the same. It is always a bit sad to separate from the dogs once they graduate but you’ll become part of a community and the separation is not as drastic as you might imagined. I volunteered for this foundation for over 20 years and it has been a joyful and touching experience @mamafarm

We won the SAG award for best Performance by a Cast for film CONCLAVE! Our gratitude goes to the great Nina Gold who cast us . My daughter, @ElettraWiedemann, curates all the programming at Mama Farm. One of my favorites is The Art of Pausing Retreat, which is about perimenopause and menopause. I found it wonderful because this is a subject that is still taboo and it was wonderful to open up and share stories with other women in an intimate setting. The retreat is hosted by three incredible gynecologists. One of them @6154amy interviewed me for her podcast @gynocurious which is out today. The next Art of Pausing Retreat will be at @mamafarm on March 28-30!!

I am taking a course in ornithology and our prof Mark Hauber took us to the @amnh to see the incredible vast collection of birds. Most touching for me the sight of our native extinct birds like the Carolina parakeet ( photo 3) , the passenger pigeon (photo 2) last survived a female called Martha died in 1914) and the ivory billed wood pecker ( photo 1) seen last in the US in 1944 and Cuba as recently as 1987

Rosie my breeder dog from @guidedogfoundation wants to sleeps next to my bed instead of her puppies . I understand her because the pups have started to grow teeth. In fact yesterday it was the first time I gave them some mushy dog food . Rosie seem to be dreaming … it fascinates me that , if she is indeed dreaming , her mind in capable of imagining things that are not in front of her eyes .
I also signed this petition to try to save 50 cinemas in Italy to remain available to cultural activities and art . I know nowadays we seen many films streaming but cinema created communities and a sense of belonging. This is precious and we should try not to lose it . @cinematroisi
