Today is a day of honour for our family, as we celebrate 100 years of Mahatma Gandhi’s memorable stay in our family home in #Mattencherry #Kochi ! 8/03/1925 to 8/03/2025 ગુજરાત અને ગુજરાતીઓ જેમના વિશે જાણતા જ નથી એવા ગરવા કચ્છી-ગુજરાતી જેમના વડવાઓ કોચિન શહેરમાં જઈ વસેલા એવા કોચિન સ્થિત મથુરાદાસ આશરના આ ઘરમાં ગાંધી બાપુએ 100 વર્ષ પહેલા 8 march ના દિવસે રાત્રિ નિવાસ કર્યો હતો. મથુરાદાસ આશર એટલે ઢીંગલીઘરના આદ્ય સ્થાપિકા સ્વ. શાંતાબેન રાજપ્રિય, તથા કોચીન નિવાસી સ્વ .નરેન્દ્ર આશરના પિતા શ્રી. જેમણે ગાંધીજીના સૂચનથી ચંપારણમાં આશ્રમ સ્થાપ્યો અને જીવન પર્યંત પોતાના તન, મન અને ધનથી સિંચ્યો…આજે પણ એ આશ્રમ હયાત છે. મથુરાદાસ આશર એટલે મારા દાદીમા ના પિતા શ્રી. મારા દાદી એટલે ઢીંગલીઘરના આદ્ય સ્થાપિકા સ્વ. શાંતાબહે રાજપ્રિય. અને આજે, ગાંધીજીના આદર્શોની ઓળખ નવા બાળકોને મળે તે માટે પદયાત્રાનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું જેની શરૂઆત એજ પૌરાણિક પારિવારિક ઘરથી થઇ ! ✨ આવા પરિવારનાં નાનકડા અંશ હોવાનો ગર્વ થાય 🙏 @kinjalrajpriya
