Mrudula Murali Instagram – A week ago, if you had asked us to trek up one of those snow capped mountains in the distance, we would have laughed, called it IMPOSSIBLE!!! But here we are – 12,200 feet up, legs screaming, lungs gasping, and hearts bursting with the most surreal, life-changing experience ever.
If there is one thing Kithu has ever truly pushed me toward (besides over-ordering food) its this – dragging me up a mountain, step by breathless step, to witness landscapes that felt straight out of a dream. Legs wobbling, the cold biting, every incline making us question our choices. But then, there were moments – the endless golden meadows, the soul filling mountain air, the first magical snowfall on our faces, and the kind of silence that makes you feel so incredibly ALIVE!!!!!
We slept in tents at -12°C, survived bio-toilets, ate the simplest food like it was gourmet and pushed ourselves in ways we never imagined. And in the end, standing at the top, shivering yet victorious, we realised – this is what it means to LIVE!!
Dayara Bugyal, you broke us, built us, and stole our hearts forever. And Kithu, if it weren’t for you, I would still be on my couch. 🫂❄️🏔️
