In order to prepare “birth”, I try to imagine climbing the route on the picture called Hulk, a 70m long 8b tufa. Everyone who had climbed this one knows how the effort feels like. You can easily fight your way up on that single tufa for about one hour. The process of giving birth is somehow similar by adding a huge portion of extra pain and a couple of more hours. I know this sounds weird, but I can’t wait to suffer again and to manage this particular effort of pain and endurance in the way that my sports thought me so during 20 years. My biggest wish came true: On February 12, our second daughter “Dune” came healthy to this world. We’re so grateful that the birth went well and that she has 10 fingers and 10 toes. I’m once again so impressed by my body’s capacity to switch from climbing 14.a multi pitch to give natural birth. @jeremy_bernard_photography is the best partner and daddy and we’re ready to face this new chapter. So this was our first happy family Sunday at the cliff. What a gift! Grand mother @caprezannemarie joined to make this happening, so everyone from age 2 until 70 climbed together ! Beginning of Mai, we will welcome Alex, our new “boy au paire” to share more days at the cliff with us. It’s really fun to touch rocks again but those days are mostly about socializing and snacking. Our favourite food at the cliff is clearly @gebana.official dried mangos. Check out my story to order a big pack of you’re also into healthy snacking. #loveclimbing
