From affirmations to aspirations ✨ Celebrating Women’s Day with the incredible young girls at @redboysfoundation 🧡 Has kept some fun, inspiring and self engaging activities for them all. I believe that it’s is self confidence that propels young girls to break thorough the glass ceilings and shatter patriarchy to its petty bits. 1. We started off by writing positive affirmations on cutesy bookmarks that I had made just that morning haha. I feel that everyone needs a constant motivating reminder for who they truly believe they are and wherein their potential resides. 2. We then distributed diaries with pens wherein the girls wrote a letter to their future self from this Ramzan to the next. They taught me that Ramzan is all about being and doing good and I had learnt that discipline plays a major part in it as well. So we made certain promises for this year that we get to check up on the next year and stay connected with ourselves. The diary will also be their personal diary because it’s what connects one to oneself and lets one be as authentic and personal. 3. Had a productive chat about menstrual hygiene and distribution of sanitary pads. 4.
