She was a baby back then, fresh out of Ohio, trying to make her mark on the world. ••• This was my tough girl headshot. I was going out for a lot of Michelle Rodriguez type roles. I was living in Encino. I was broke AF. This was five years before I booked a major guest star on HBO, six years before I booked my first recurring role on ABC and eight years before I booked my first series regular role on SyFy (now USA!) 😭 ••• Today, I have 29 days left filming Season Four of @residentalien and the closer we near the end, the more I get in my feels about the very beginning, who I was before this show, who I was when I started this show, who I am now (7 years later😳) and who I will become. Just taking a moment to share the journey and say it all just takes time and it happens when it’s supposed to and how it’s supposed to and I’m just trying to capture being very present now as time continues marching on. ••• 🥹

Just a quick update, I’m feeling so much better 🥹 and have been given the green light to go back to work. Thank you to everyone who reached out with love and concern. Boo bears, I’ve been in bed with pneumonia for 1.5 weeks. It has been a mega forced slow down. As I’m starting to peel back the curtains and see the light and recover, I’m writing this to say— there’s only 6 weeks left til spring 🥹🙏🏽—meanwhile no amount of speeding up our life or our activities or our agenda is going to hide the pain of the present or snuff out the fear of the future. The hard parts of these days must be seen and felt and brought to the surface so we can heal from the inside out and be stronger and NOT make ourselves sick. I’m thinking of you all. And especially of my whole cast who has been going through it and our show and hoping we will get back to “normal” next week. Whatever normal is. We live in Patience after all 😝 👽🫣🎬
