I have spent many years attending @gdayusa and have watched so many iconic artists before me receive this same honor, and it still hasn’t really sunk in that I was chosen for this. As I said onstage, imposter syndrome is real, and to be recognized in this way feels very surreal. I devoted a good portion of my speech to laughing at my own swift approach to procreation and how I announced as a 19-year-old to a room full of high-powered agents that “acting is exciting and all but my real passion is motherhood” 😂. Getting to live both dreams in parallel has been truly humbling and more meaningful than I could’ve imagine. Forever grateful to all those who keep hiring me despite so often growing a human! It was a magical full-circle moment for @phoebejtonkin and I, as I’m sure you’ll remember—I presented her with her Best Lead Actress award at the @aacta’s only two weeks ago. She wrote and delivered such a moving speech, and then she was the one to present me with this award.
