Larissa Dsa Instagram - Chapter III 🌺 – The Journey, Every Day 🌞

Travel teaches you that uncertainty and little road bumps aren’t just part of the story—they’re what make it exciting, right?!😍

Years ago, I read about the Mahakumbh—probably saw some photos and videos online—and wondered, “Why would I ever go there?” 😦

The sheer magnitude, the sea of people, the chaos… it felt overwhelming, almost unimaginable. 😩

And yet, here I am, standing amidst it all, realizing that some experiences aren’t meant to be understood from afar—they’re meant to be lived, felt, and completely surrendered to.😇

I travel to see things as they are. Of course, I want to experience the world’s great wonders—the ones on everyone’s bucket list—I LOVE THAT! 😌 But there’s something else, something deeper about watching people go about their everyday lives, and being able to speak with them, know them a little, and understand the world better. 🌍

But I will not deny it. Sometimes, it’s inconvenient. 🥲The crowds, the exhaustion, the unpredictability of it all. 😖But more often than not, I find myself pausing, taking it all in, and thinking, “Ahhh, I didn’t know that. And now I do. Lesson learnt, and I’m glad—I get to see this through a different lens, a different perspective now.”

Travel is all about learning to change your perspective for the better. And Im so happy, I could visit the Kumbh Mela this year to witness everything firsthand. 🙏🏼 GRATITUDE ONLY!!!🙏🏼🤩🥹

Boil the oranges for 10 mins

1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
Bring to a light simmer
Add orange slices
& boil for 12 mins
Place onto a silicone lined tray
& bake at 120 C
till dried
Look at that 😍

The Ganga snan was something I wasn’t sure I had to do…

But everyone I spoke to said the same thing:
“You’re lucky to even be here, to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event. Go for it. Immerse yourself in the experience.”

And so, I did. 🥹

I had taken a dip in the Ganga before—back in 2022, in Rishikesh—and it felt magical. But here, at the Kumbh, amidst all the chaos, I found myself wondering… would it feel the same?

But as the cold water wrapped around me, it didn’t just feel like a ritual—it felt like surrender. A moment of stillness in the middle of something so vast, so ancient. 💫

Maybe that’s the thing about experiences like these. You don’t fully understand them until you’re in them. Until you let go. Until you find yourself completely present, utterly still… in the ever-flowing waters of the Ganga. 🙏🏼🌺💫♥️

Ganesh and I first collaborated back in 2018 when we traveled to Kolkata. Since then, we’ve been waiting for the chance to work together again because our creative chemistry is absolutely unmatched!

Last week, Ganesh called me and asked if I wanted to celebrate Uttarayan with him, and I dropped a HELL YES without even thinking twice.

BEST. DECISION. EVER.

Creating with someone who truly matches your creative vibe is rare. When you find people like that, you hold on to them and make the most of it. 🪁😌🙏🏼

Had the BEST time chasing down fallen kites on the streets like kids, indulging in delicious Gujarati snacks, and flying our kites from the terrace of people who were kind enough to welcome us. 🌺😇 Life feels so beautiful when traveling gifts you memories that are so SIMPLE, yet so SPECIAL. 🪁✨!

And when I realised it very deeply, that everything - even people in your life - are temporary, it struck me that nothing is worth losing your inner peace over.

The beauty of this realization is that it’s SO DAMN FREEING!!!Because when you know things are temporary, you learn to hold on to them more lightly, with a sense of appreciation rather than ATTACHMENT.

Life, with all its unpredictability, becomes something to experience fully rather than control.🫶🏼

To be honest, it’s tough to follow this for myself too. And you know what, I’ve met so many people who reek of potential to be genuinely happy doing what they love, but they hold themselves back. Why? Because they’re tooo worried about what others might think. 🫢

“That’s too much.”
“That’s too cringe.”
“That’s too different.”
“That’s not how it’s done.”
“That’s not practical.”
