For three decades, we lived a life we understood—a life that shaped us as much as we shaped it. It felt familiar, like home. Then, four years ago, everything changed. Sufi came into our lives, and we became parents. The ground beneath us shifted, and the world—once so familiar—transformed into something both recognizable and entirely new. Since that day, not a single evening has gone by without Jankee and I sitting at this dining table, talking about what this journey means. How it’s shaping us. How it’s reshaping the way we see the world. And the most humbling question of all — How do we raise ourselves to be the parents Sufi deserves? Parenting isn’t just about raising a child—it’s about raising us, too. We’ve shared, debated, and laughed through countless conversations. And yet, we often found ourselves feeling… alone. Parenting is supposed to be this collective experience, but why does it sometimes feel so isolating? Hence, this happy detour —> The Indian Parent Pod This isn’t about teaching anyone how to parent. We aren’t experts, and we’re not here to preach. This is about sharing stories—ours, yours, everyone’s. It’s about creating a space where parenting feels less lonely and more real. We hope @theindianparentpod with Sufi and Folks becomes an honest, unfiltered dialogue. Conversations beyond just this dining table and bowl of poha.
