Can you tell I was angry when I wrote this speech? I was nervous but Receiving the Trans Vanguard Award from @reach_la is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Reach LA uplifts and celebrates LGBTQIA people of color and their communities, creating a space that educates, inspires, and empowers youth around sexual and reproductive health, culture, and self-preservation. For them to recognize my activism as part of that mission is an honor beyond words. Thank you, Reach LA! 🙏 I’m so grateful for those who support and uplift our community, giving us opportunities to thrive. And to those who’ve tried to tear us down, thank you for showing us our strength. 💪 I especially want to thank the queer community for being an impermeable, solid source of inspiration and liberation, not only for the LGBTQIA community, for so many across the world. 🌎 🏳️⚧️ 🏳️🌈

TODAY, February 28th, we’re having an economic blackout! We ask that you do not buy ANYTHING. ❌❌❌ This action is designed to raise awareness and harness our collective power in the fight to end sexism, racism, homophobia, and, now more than ever, Transphobia. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 AFTER the blackout, let’s strategically use our funds to support small businesses. Repost from : @adamconover It may feel hopeless right now, but there are actual, concrete ways you can fight back against what’s happening in our government. Watch the full video on YouTube: No one is coming to save us.
Going LIVE today at 5:30 PM EST with @keithedwards to break down this administration’s attacks on transgender rights. Already seeing your amazing reactions and questions coming in—can’t wait to talk with everyone soon! 💖🌈 This conversation is so important, and we need YOU in it. See you soon! 🏳️⚧️
Repost From – @drdanacrawford Have you ever heard of epistemicide? It is critical that we name our experiences. For when we name an experience, we validate that experience. When we name an experience, we are able to communicate that experience to each other in simple ways. When we name an experience, we reclaim our power. When we name an experience, we are empowered because we understand what is happening.
Went to the premiere talkback for @DavidBlaine’s new show, Do Not Attempt, where he’s less magician, more explorer, a student of the world. 🌎 Loved hearing him talk about his fascination with nature and how the show came together. @mitchferrino (Arm Candy!) even got picked as the audience volunteer—unreal. 😱 @NatGeo @NatGeoTV
This Black History Month, let’s not only celebrate Black excellence in healthcare but also recognize the urgent need for equitable care for LGBTQIA people, particularly within the Black Trans community. 🏥 Dr. Darien Sutton is an advocate for change, working tirelessly to address disparities in healthcare access. While Black Americans face the highest overall cancer death rates, this burden is even more pronounced among LGBTQIA communities, especially for transgender individuals who often struggle just to access gender-affirming care. 🏳️⚧️ @doctor.darien’s dedication to health education and equity is essential in highlighting these disparities. From the ER to his role as ABC’s Medical Correspondent, he uses his platform to advocate for improved healthcare for all marginalized communities. Let’s continue to work toward a future where everyone, regardless of race, gender identity, or sexual orientation, has access to quality, affirming, and life-saving care. ❤️✨
