Megha Gupta Instagram – why I swear by cold exposure. It isn’t for everyone all the time. Women in their luteal and menstrual phase should avoid it.
At the same time, it has way too many benefits to not do it other times.
Just like breathwork and mindful meditation, cold exposure calms our mind by distracting it and refocusing it on other factors. It also lowers our heart rate, allowing us to be calmer and, therefore, less anxious.
I feel great after my morning cold dip and these days it’s primarily to take care of my muscle recovery.
That, that it’s doing great for my skin is an added benefit.
